  1. There's your answer on why it's happening. Anyways, anyone should surely be opposed to a cruel sport that encourages gambling? Repurposing that land for something wholesome like housing seems like a good thing.
  2. Market forces will dictate house prices, and market forces will dictate whether developers prefer to develop from scratch or restore empty property.
  3. I'll comment only on housing. We need more. They need to be built somewhere. Building houses addresses a need and drives the economy. It's a good and necessary thing. The country would be going downhill if we didn't meet housing needs, not because we are.
  4. 3 and a half year deal is longer than I expected. Nathan has done well for himself.
  5. Speak for yourself Weston, I need all the help I can get on a Monday and a Wednesday - coke, coffee and haribos don't cut it anymore.

  7. A post on a football forum will sort that lot out SoG, good work 👍
  8. 👀Southgate watch 👀
  9. Clever, you international bright young thing.
  10. Thanks for that, much better now, 502 errors earlier and last night.
  11. We now have a full back and Djenepo at full back, rather than a CB and Djenepo. We also have Salisu having a rest. Makes sense to me.
  12. Did you expect cartwheels after an equaliser against Sheffield Wednesday?
  13. Who's the Peter Crouch lookalike to his right?
  14. Cheers, hadn't seen it, the missus has put the bloody crown on.
  15. BBC reporting that he's in the crowd, so it must be happening.
  16. Assuming it's a back 4, Lyanco over Payne makes no sense to me. Disappointed to see that Ballard isn't involved - would have preferred to see him on the bench over Moi or Walcott.
  17. 442 I reckon with Lyanco at right back. Would've have preferred Payne there, Lyanco and DCC at CB, and Salisu given the night off.

  19. I think we'll win this comfortably. Ralph's inevitable departure will have dragged down the players, and that's now dealt with. Whoever the new man is going to be, the players will want to play for their places. I'm hoping we'll see a few kids get some minutes as well. Seeing a few from Ballard, Payne, Morgan, Doyle, Turner would be nice.
  20. I don't think there's any danger that he won't be welcomed or supported. He wouldn't have been my pick, but if he's appointed, he'll get my 100% support.
  21. There's nothing antagonistic in there St louis - I think it's great that occasional posters are posting, and that differing views are being respectfully canvassed as should be on a forum. I get the point on the money side, but there's a line of mediocrity acceptance that I don't think we need to be crossing - we can do better than Jones and reliance on unproven kids from City imo. With that said, I hope that I'm wrong and that if Jones comes in, that he does a Frank and we move up the league. It's blooming risky though!
  22. That I agree with. They've shown themselves slow to deal with Ralph though, and haven't yet addressed Semmens. That, and the dubious recruitment policy of quantity and hope, over quality and ability to deliver, doesn't give me any real confidence in them.
  23. Agreed. There's no way whatsoever that the owners are contriving to get us relegated, that's a conspiracy theory too far for me.
  24. That's a very good comparable to be fair, but it doesn't make me feel any easier that this guy is what we need right now.
  25. I'm not complaining mate. As to why they did that, I think it shows poor judgement. That's being replicated with Jones.
