I'd stop worrying completely. When you've figured out how worrying is going to help us score goals, let us know.

You mean Arizona and Nevada? I think that'd make it 270 each assuming mad Don gets the rest. Guiliani's rant was hilariously desperate.
-
You tell them Del. It ain't ideal but it is what it is. Walcott playing up top with big Che will see us through.

Yep, that's how I see it. He looks to be too far behind in PA so it's looking like a Trump victory.

These days, why does it matter if its a boy or a girl?

I agree with that. For me, the main difference is that he's found a position and grown into it. In the past he's been played out wide where he hasn't had the pace, played inside where he's not been strong / tenacious enough, or as a 10 which isn't really his position. Ralph has shown faith in him in the middle, given him consistent games there and he's become one hell of a player.

Track and trace, masks, hundreds of ecmo machines, a compliant population have helped. Easy to see why we're in a mess in comparison.

700 I think. Its a Hampshire cup game rather than a friendly

Lazy choice of words from me, but focusing on either dying or living but with an assumed full recovery misses the point of what some people have to live with post covid. If, for example, the death rate is 1%, that does not mean that 99% make a full recovery. My point at it's simplest is that we need to understand what we may have to live with.

He hasn't played yet. We have a game at Eastleigh today though. I'd hazard a guess that he'll play, and that the game was arranged for him to get game time.
-
Yep, nuts. Gyms I've been in have loads of space and are safe environments. Even more ridiculous is closing things like outdoor boot camps. How things like that, or a couple of blokes playing golf outside, is deemed a Covid risk is beyond me.
-
That's Bertrand out until at least the other side of the international break probably then. Vokins is the logical option, although KWP moving over and Valery coming in is another option.
-
I agree, but if Bednarek out I'd expect to see him on the bench at least. In fact, I suspect he'll play in tomorrow's match at Eastleigh...my guess is that it's been arranged to give him some game time.
-
...he got dropped from the side.

It's staggering that 9 months or so into this that there are people who still view the effects of Covid as living or dying. Don't have an opinion when you're plainly don't understand the subject.

I'm not with you on the science against statistics point. Waiting on stats for how things have gone elsewhere means sitting around and reacting after the event. That's dangerous so all we have is the scientific advice. That advice was for a short lockdown weeks ago. Whether doing that would have meant a shorter lockdown than we're gonna get we'll never know, but I suspect that delaying the inevitable has doubled the pain.
-
I don't see their argument. They're not playing more games and have the same sized squads. I'm with you - manage the squads better and stop moaning.
-
No idea mate. I'm not expressing an opinion on that, or advocating any lockdown. Scientists that know more than you, me and any politician were the ones advocating it. We're having a month lockdown. I'd prefer none at all, but a fortnight would have been better. It's not a hard concept.

Good post and pretty much as I see it. Adams is improving in all areas where players can improve - he's getting stronger, his movement is getting better, ditto his touch and use of the ball. Add that to his raw pace, power and finishing and he's gonna get better. My only criticism is his speed of thought which is what separates the best from the rest. I'm not sure whether that will improve, but regardless, we've got a decent player who'll only get better.

Neither of us are qualified to call "pony" on this. You're as clueless as the rest of us on what's best. The simple fact is that we look destined for a month lockdown. I'm not saying its right or wrong, I don't pretend to know what's best. All I know is that it's twice as long as the fortnight that we might have got away with, thus twice as damaging. I agree with you re the rudderless leadership, but I'm confused about where you say that the government guidance should come from if you're critical of the scientists. Are you suggesting that the sage advice should be ignored? If so, what should the government base its decisions on?
