I wouldn't be surprised if he's still unfit and he just padded the bench with Ramsey the only actual defensive sub. Romeu could drop back and Chauke or Finnigan come into midfield if we'd lost 2 CB's.

Pretty much as I saw it. Him being the last man was weird. When they were at 9 men he often took up a kind of auxiliary left back position (like Fred was for Man Utd in the week) with Bertrand ahead of him. It was so congested in their box, when he got the ball though he just gave it simple then jogged up to join the attack. It was strange. We needed him to get on the ball where he could do damage, not in defence, but in fairness to him, he was at least trying to get on the ball. First half though he looked good, although some sloppy passes but perhaps nerves/rust. The touch, turn of pace and finish for his goal were pure class though. On the whole he looks a cracking acquisition. With a full weeks training I'm confident he'll make a big difference.

Yep but the 3rd goal started with his negativity. He had a nightmare.
-
Not one positive to take from that. Tactically shit. No passion. Poor passing and crossing. Ings doesn't look at it. Minamino ended up as a kind of left back. Redmond may as well have played for them. McCarthy shocking. Just terrible all over the park, and more to the point, from the manager. Failing to beat 9 men is a disgrace, much more so than getting battered in the week. Embarrassing.

We are fucking dire.
-
What a fucking idiot.

What's happened to Vestergaard's passes from the back?
-
Yep. Awful. Wrong decisions and poor execution today.
-
Looks like he's killed himself. Hopefully won't run it off.

Great goal. Lovely touch, pace, finish. Class🇯🇵

You're not the post positive are you. We're 1 nil down. Getting forward. Have 29 points. We'll be fine.
-
Yep, Bednarek's man. Stephens is pushing up and Redmond coming inside.
-
Yep. Good movement into some very central positions.
-
Excuses. We were shit and capitulated.
-
Yep, and perfectly understandable to be honest.
-
I'll take Appy's knowledge and information over your irritating pedantry every day of the week.
-
Very happy with that. We're winning this. 3-1. COYS.

I wouldn't play Ramsey over Stephens personally, and certainly wouldn't put Djenepo on the same side as him again. Two lambs to the slaughter against United and I we can't repeat that. If Djenepo is on the right I'd want the experience of Stephens at RB. Nervousness is understandable but I'm feeling good about this. I think we'll see a huge reaction and get something from it.
-
Cheers. I'll take that. Stephens RB, Vest and Bednarek in the middle is decent enough. Romeu in the middle with JWP. We've got a chance of result tomorrow.

Fair point re Marcus. It was crass, apologies. I can't agree re Kat though. She sold to the highest/only bidder. Anyone would have done the same and our current plight has nothing to do with her.
-
Probably because he was the person willing to pay her the most money. it's what I do when I sell an asset, ditto anyone else who's being honest. Your blaming Kat is like me selling someone my house on his promise to look after it, only for it fall into ruin, and the neighbours moaning at me cos it's an eyesore. If you have an issue with Gao moan about him. Next you'll blame Marcus for dying.
-
Why is our current financial mess Kat's fault? Someone else is driving the ship so if it's sinking, it ain't down to her.
-
You're correct, but it hasn't worked. Personally I'm all for scrapping the current model but operating a rugby style system for checking key decisions to get the correct one, and for the ref to be mic'd up for full transparency. It works in rugby and could work in football.

Yes it's a daft analogy, but to be fair to Weston, there is an inconsistency from Wright. On one hand he's really upset by it, but he then puts the screen shots into the public domain a year or so later dredging it all back up, only then to forgive the kid, but is then outraged when his forgiveness is factored into the sentence.
