  1. When you've only got £15m to spend you ain't signing a proven top level player. If you think we could have got better for £15m, who was that?
  2. Whilst I still struggle with people calling for a player who wasn't signed as a 10 and seemingly has never played there (he played RM for Chelsea, not as a 10)being played there, as our 10's have been so bad, I'm now in the let's give it a go camp. Armstrong on the left means another player not playing in his best position though. If we're playing Livramento further forward I'd like to see a 433 (whilst JWP is out) as below: KWP Bed Sal Per S Arm Rom Dial Liv A Arm Djen
  3. I think you're the only that thinks it's important. It really isn't. Have a good Saturday mate, and enjoy the football.
  4. I don't see knives out. People are realistic though, this will be a tough day, and a defeat seems likely. My feeling is that we'll give them a game today but personally I won't judge Ralph on a defeat away to Chelsea. Although we've done well in a number of games this season, the only stat that really matters is the score and we need wins.
  5. Yep...give him his own payers and he'd shine. Or something.
  6. Yes, we were good in 2020. We know. Pointing that out achieves nothing, we're still shit now, but well done for highlighting something meaningless 👏
  7. I get what you both say, and if proving your point floats your boat, then crack on. For me though, harping back to good times is a bit like being in a relationship that's fucked and reminiscing on that lovely spell from the past. All very nostalgic, but your relationship is still fucked.
  8. Exactly. It doesn't matter how good we were in 2020. This is 2021, and we've been shit. If that form continues, our 2020 form wont help us avoid relegation. Comments about 2020 form are utterly pointless.

    Coronavirus

He's still posting under his usual login.
  10. Sad news, but his struggle against that awful illness is over, and he can rest in peace. He's left some cracking tunes behind for us to enjoy.
  11. I'll have a pie or three for you 👍
  12. Hadn't seen that, cheers. That's a cracking bit of business.
  13. Shame, you missed some really good times. Promotion in any walk of life has it ups and downs for sure, and I for one wanted it and was glad when we got it. The sad reality though is that anything above 8th ish in the PL is a great outcome, and aiming for mediocrity ain't great. For me, if we don't survive in this league, so be it. I'll get to go to new grounds, and hopefully we'll get to enjoy the thrill of the promotion chase again.
  14. They're not jacking up the prices either. 20p a litre cheaper is a hell of a lot, saves me about £14 a tank in my camper.
  15. For ages now they've played more like wide midfielders, not tucked inside like they were. We're definitely set up different these days. Moi is a bit different though, ditto Minamino last season. They both tuck in more leaving the RB to give the width. Minamino went even more central when Armstrong played centre mid and gave cover when he went forward with the ball.
  16. It's a mess out there. Costco has been decent.
  17. Also, too much praise for youngsters can lead to complacency, which creates bad characters and stall development. No harm in a "he's decent, but still has work to do" comment.
  18. Absolutely. Going into games knowing we'd compete, signing players way above the level we played at, goals galore, Wembley, promotions, a near miss, no glory hunting fans, etc. Brilliant days.
  19. Agreed. Tino was signed as a RB, has been brilliant at RB, so everyone wants us to stop playing him as a RB. There's a logic there that I don't understand. Sure, KWP would want to play at RB, but Tino rightly has the shirt do either shuffles over to LB and fights for a place with Perraud, or he doesn't play.
  20. I have no idea mate, question for Ralph, but we should know by now to expect shit substitutions. Moussa can be great in patches, but for me he'd play more if he wasn't so wasteful with the ball. The bottom line is he had the choice of starting an average LB or playing KWP there, or an average (on a good day) Redmond or a wasteful Moussa. Hobson's choice, and if he had gone the other way, people would probably still have whinged.
  21. We all see it differently mate. Perraud has been dropped for a reason, and when he played at Sheff Utd he got beaten badly for their first goal. Had Traore played, KWP would have dealt with him better than Perraud imo. Djenepo gives the ball away too often. Ralph has poor options down the left and, for me, he picked the least worse one against Wolves.
  22. Perraud isn't great. Ralph probably expected Traore to play, and he'd have annihilated Perraud. His choice was Perraud or an out of position KWP. When you're between a rock or a hard place, you'll get whacked whichever way you turn.
  23. Yep. It's like staying in an unhappy relationship because you've yet to line up a replacement. A mindset I don't get.
  24. I'm not calling for his head quite yet, I'm saying that it's not unreasonable if others do so. For me he has credit for our start to the season and Man City. I'm putting Sunday down to a bad day at the office, and some bad luck. Personally, I think he got the team selection right, although Long on rather than Tella was odd. On a side note, people who blame Bednarek for Sundays game are missing the fact that the golden boy got caught up field meaning Bednarek got pulled over. Sure, he was weak, and a better CB would have dealt with that situation, but Tino left us a man short.
