Impossible to tell from that, but on TV it looked like his leaning in made him offside.
-
Yep. Smallbone back on the bench though, and both full backs covered so may just be unlucky.
-
I thought the same and it appears that he's back above N'Lundulu in the pecking order.
-
I'm guessing you don't know any/many people impacted by this. "lockdown fanatics" is patronising. Its possible to be wary of this shit and not want lockdown. I have several friends with long Covid. All under 60, 2 under 50, and one early 50's in hospital as we speak. Its not just and life, but the young / blinkered / stupid see it that way it would seem.
-
And those who perish can be tossed overboard, or eaten, freeing up the graveyards and risk of infection at the wake. It's a thing of genius. Weston is on course for a knighthood, maybe two.
-
Race is definitely a factor, weight and fitness too. Two (white friends) have tested positive. He's fit and lean and doing OK ish. She's not so much and now in hospital.
-
Not for me, I can't see him playing with his back to goal. He's a winger all day long. I'd play N'Lundulu who I think has something about him.
-
Thanks. Interesting reading. Little wander the EU states approved it unanimously.
-
That highlights the British mentality right there. Selfish idiots who think that getting around rules is a clever thing to do.
-
You're struggling a bit here pal. Keep plugging away with your uber clever Isle of Wight and boat idea.
-
Yep, our use of masks came far too late and the lack of kids wearing them is crazy. The slow take up, and the earlier message that they do no good, has created the Sam Allardyce syndrome of thinking of ways of wearing them but not. In shops in particular I see loads of people, mostly men, with masks on chins. Absolutely ridiculous, popping a mask on is no hardship.
-
Key words = "should have". Stop living in the past. What we should have done solves nothing. As we sit here now, what's your solution beyond filling up the Isle of Wight with over 60's and putting all the infected on boats? Or do you now accept that doing what we have been is all we can carry on doing?
-
Yep, if we persist with VAR, they should give an explanation like the do in rugby.
-
The ship has sailed on your hair brain idea. The virus is out of control and teh numbers too high I'm not the one who needs to think of other ways to combat the virus. There are none - it's you that claims there are alternatives but you can't say any better than cramming all our over 60's onto the Isle of Wight, and everyone who's tested positive (30k + daily) onto boats. Mental, absolutely mental.
-
I agree with that. Our back 4 was solid against Fulham. The only thing Vest would have added was his runs and long passes. Sure, they’re very good, but when you’re relying on a centre back as your playmaker, it’s obvious that there are issues elsewhere. With us, the 2 number 10’s aren’t creating, and the front 2 without Ings look incapable of creating much for themselves or each other.
-
It's not geography. It's mentality. Turkish makes the points. When we have a few thousand cases and people hadn't shown themselves as utter helmets, this may have worked. Now we're having 30k + cases a day, I think it's a stupid idea. You are entitled to think differently. Perhaps lobby your MP to implement your tremendous idea. RE the last bit, I overlooked that you were sending all the elderly etc to the IOW, and every single person who'd tested positive to boats. I somehow managed to fuse your two fantastic ideas together.
-
You wrote "There are thousands of cruise ships around the world not being used. Put everyone that tests positive onto one of them for 10 days (taking them out of the general population) and the infection rate will plummet like a stone". Ask yourself if that'll really work. Ask yourself how we'd get Barry from Birmingham onto a ship/ferry. Would people who won't self isolate really go on a ship/ferry? It's a ridiculous suggestion. That's why it hasn't been done.
-
Nope. I read it. The difference between your comment and Turkish is that a) yours contained your usual condescending bollox and pointless reference to your snapdragon, and b) suggests that shielding the most at risk will actually work. Turkish acknowledged that we're a nation of entitled idiots saying of any effort to do that "then you’ll still have f*ck wits breaking them. " Sadly, you just whinge about how shit it is, but despite suggesting that there's loads of options other than managing as we have and opening things up completely, the best you can come up with is keep the vulnerable locked away. We've done that, pretty much, for 9 months and it hasn't worked. Yes it's shit, but let's be sensible and accept that as things stand, there's no sensible alternative to managing things as best we can pending mass vaccinations.
-
Yep. That would have worked, but we are a nation of entitled idiots. People everywhere trying to circumvent the rules, the spread is too wide to do that now, and people have shown themselves to be selfish idiots. Sensible debate on it on here - present company excepted - is pointless. Nobody likes where we are, anyone with half a brain knows that a free for all or something close to it will end up in carnage, you get the ridiculous comments that the NHS ain't coping anyway so we may as well open things up, but nobody can actually say what the credible alternatives now are. Weston has had a crack but can't go further than cramming the millions of elderly and infirm on boats, and Duck hasn't said anything other than some condescending waffle about his missus and offside.
-
Ronaldo? Neymar? Weren't they sold by those non selling clubs?
-
Putting all our vulnerable people on ferries is utterly ridiculous. That's why no other country has done it. Or would. Or could given the numbers involved. Thought of any actual alternatives to what we're doing or a free for all yet?
-
If this is how you explain stuff, your snapdragon has no chance of ever understanding offside. I'm no lockdown enthusiast. They haven't worked and won't. Opening it up won't work. What's this magical balance that nobody else has been able to find if it's not what has been happening between lock downs?
-
I'll ask the question again. Lockdown isn't working, you've said elsewhere that you're not suggesting a free for all, so what are you suggesting that we do?
