  1. This would be utterly hilarious. Broja alone is better & should be more valuable than Gordon. Edit: Although just remembered that Everton are one of the only teams worse than us so actually not that funny.
  2. It really does feel like we’re leaning towards Broja once Chelsea sign Aubameyang (horror move from them by the way). Although Everton are definitely in for him too. And whilst saying all of this we had Mara & ABK which came about without even a sniff of knowledge, so you never know. I’m still going to bang the drum that I’d rather it were a winger (who could play up top if needed) rather than an out and out number 9.
  3. Frustrated but don’t feel annoyed after that given the performance. We really need to sign a winger to replace Elyounoussi who once again was dire. ABK and Lavia both excellent. Mara’s cameo was nice as well.
  4. McCarthy Payne - Bednarek - Salisu - ????????? Diallo - Romeu Armstrong - Armstrong Ballard - Mara My guess.
  5. Do wonder if Watford could be tempted by a cheeky Redmond.
  6. I do absolutely agree with this by the way, but this is also the exact same shortcoming which Bednarek has. I think of the players who moved this Summer, the perfect one for us would've been Collins.
  7. I forgot to reply to this yesterday (apologies) but I still struggle to believe how we're failing to recognise how bad Bednarek has largely been for us? If (for some reason) it has to be a player with Premier League experience, you have the following who've already moved this Summer - Tarkowski, Mee, Coady, Diop, Collins Other potentially attainable ones who haven't moved/previously been linked - Soyuncu, Chalobah, Bailly, Tanganga, Cooper, Worrall I'm not saying that I want us to go out and sign these players, I am merely suggesting that if you're struggling to spot an available CB better than Bednarek then I'm not sure what you've been watching these past 3 years. What is more interesting to me is that we managed to go abroad and pick up a 20 year old who (albeit with an absolutely tiny sample size) for £10m who does not look out of place as his replacement immediately. There are clearly an absolute truck load of players in Europe who could come in and do the job he has done (and better). This is just an example of other CBs brought in over the past few years in our typical price range - Andersen, Konsa, Ajer, Webster, Kilman, Tosin, Colwill, Jansson These are all players who have been brought in domestically over the past few seasons, let alone looking elsewhere in Europe.
  8. I could probably think of a dozen.
  9. Fucking quality, finally some fight shown in the past week with the Leeds comeback and now this. Just need a bit more quality in attack brought in (as well as a fullback) and we should stay clear of trouble. Che & Bella-Kotchap top class.
  10. Don't even fucking think about selling this bloke
  11. Moi absolutely bangs the winner here/gives away a penalty.
  12. Salisu long throw YESSSSSSSSSSS
  13. Miles better as soon as we go behind, christ sake.
  14. I much prefer this system, it just makes our lack of quality out wide so apparent. Elyounoussi and Armstrong simply not good enough. Would've genuinely liked Redmond to be an option off the bench but we have Walcott instead. Definitely need to be bringing in somebody in this position if we're going to continue with two wide players.
  15. Imagine if we had a quick, direct winger in place of where Elyounoussi currently is. Would be nice.
  16. Interesting, not sure on why it'd be Elyounoussi over Diallo/Armstrong then. I like the fact we're straying to a 433 though for sure.
  17. Garrett was close, definitely 4-2-2-2 though.
  18. If this is true then I do like it. Either the 4222 with Diallo in front of Djenepo for protection, or a 433 with Aribo - Mara - AA which I equally like as well.
  19. Belotti has been going on ages now, would take us record wages to get him. Seems really unlikely.
  20. £150m + Lingard/Kouyate for Forest so far. It's genuinely turned into a disaster for Cooper if he doesn't keep them up.
  21. Ornstein saying up to £44.5m for Gibbs-White, fucking hell.
  22. Perraud still out, could see him sticking with the 5atb for this one sadly.
  23. Eurgh didn't enjoy that answer - "we've invested a lot into this (5atb), and the shape we turned to was more of an all-in, but we have to be careful".
  24. Haha, bloke just scored.
