  1. That's fair enough. It's more a reflection on the lack of options rather than anything else. He at least has the capability to beat a player and has actually scored a couple of goals. I'd rather start Edozie given what he's shown, but I also understand his impact off the bench is maybe more appealing than 90 minutes just yet.
  2. My guess is the team that started last night is the one he wants to start vs Brighton, with Lavia in for the terrible AMN if he passes fit. However, I'd hope he realises we looked far better in the 433 and that Adam Armstrong is absolutely garbage. Bazunu KWP - ABK - Salisu - Perraud JWP - Lavia - Armstrong Aribo - Che - Elyounoussi Never been a fan of Elyounoussi but I think he was our best player yesterday. Lyanco was decent enough defensively but I don't think I could spend another 90 minutes watching him spray crossfield passes 10 yards away from his target. Edozie to come on with 30 minutes~ to go and look like our only attacker capable of getting the crowd excited as per usual. I think it's an important early sign for the fans that he shows a willingness to change when things didn't look right. The team and set-up we started with yesterday was not a good look.
  3. Such a Che Adams performance. Actually played really well, held the ball up and linked the play just how you'd have liked. Then finished the game dejected with his head in his hands, likely taking zero confidence into Monday.
  4. Not really sure on the ins and outs but it seems to be what SR said to The Athletic. Gakpo one seemed like PSV pulled the plug late on, no clue with Ramos.
  5. Haha, it’s truly incredible we agreed terms with this bloke and Gakpo but ended up doing nothing. Goncalo Ramos 1-0
  6. Three of us, Everton, Bournemouth, Wolves, Forest, Fulham and Leeds. We're all in here assuming the best of other teams, like I'm sure other fans are of us on their respective forums at the moment. Hard to be sure of too much until we progress through the January transfer window, where I imagine Everton and Wolves in particular will be pretty active. My current guess (and hope) is Wolves, Forest and Bournemouth.
  7. Yeah. I'm hoping/thinking he means two attackers rather than two strikers, which would be a bit weird. A striker and a winger is what we need.
  8. Definitely a free hit of a game but I do hope Selles was in charge of the team selection.
  9. 3 or 4 opportunities to get rid, terrible.
  10. Shame Liverpool got through on pens but Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea all out already.
  11. £4m compensation is pretty heavy too. I'm going to stop worrying and just back them til it goes wrong.
  12. I'm glad to see there's been a lot of positivity now the inevitable has happened. He's done a good job for us overall. It's a shame we were that bad for 6~ months at the end but realistically he kept us up for 3 years with little threat of relegation. Pretty confident we beat all of the big 6, and gave them all very good games on other occasions as well. Shame we couldn't get him a proper forward this Summer, and a shame we couldn't convince Ings to stay at the time which we may have under the new ownership. I said all along I'm worried if it'll be "be careful what you wish for" when we got rid, and how good is this squad we actually have? We had to find out one way or the other, though. Good luck if he takes another role, or enjoy retirement if he goes through with it.
  13. I did think the reason we delayed Ralph is because we had something a little more exciting planned for the WC break, but oh well. I'm clinging onto the disappointment at the Pochettino appointment parallels.
  14. Respect the hope but there's no way Luton put that statement out if this isn't close.
  15. Ah god. This is what I always feared when people wanted to get rid. Lack of obtainable options.
  16. Who wouldn't be at this point tbh
  17. Gallardo would be a bit of a coup, he was heavily linked with Barcelona recently. https://twitter.com/ZachLowy/status/1580720217352650752
  18. Right time to go. Done a lot of good over the past few years and I'll always like him for it, but we need change now.
  19. There’s the Che sitter fuck off
  20. Get Edozie and Mara on for Walcott and Moi ffs. How Moi keeps getting away it is beyond belief. Walcott experiment unsurprisingly horrific.
  21. Been alright but hard to imagine anything other than us getting picked off on the counter here.
  22. Walcott gets a start for 3 in the U23’s, but nothing for Mara who got 4. Fed up of us putting out teams which nobody agrees with every week.
  23. Great to hear about ABK and Lavia being back earlier than anticipated. After the last couple of decent results, it's easier to look forward to January with a bit of optimism and how nice our team could look with a high-profile attacking addition or two. Something which is clearly on the owners mind after the Gakpo chase. Che ? - ?/S. Armstrong - Aribo Lavia - JWP KWP - Salisu - ABK - Livramento Bazunu McCarthy, DCC, Lyanco, Perraud, AMN, Diallo, Elyounoussi, Edozie, Mara, A. Armstrong Overall a reasonably strong squad, given how most of the new signings have started. Based on what we've seen so far I'd hope that Edozie starts pressing for a more regular role as well. Gakpo clearly woould have been a brilliant fit based on what he's doing so far, but if our budget for this acquisition really is £30m~ then I'd back us to do well with it.
  24. I can't rate him whatsoever. His only redeeming quality is he's the only player in our 11 who has a bit of pace. He's terrible at dribbling as demonstrated yesterday, so he doesn't even offer a positive sense of directness on the wing. He can just be a decent out ball as he can run quickly, before panicking and doing nothing with it. Good work rate but he's definitely not a PL starter.
