  1. Makes absolutely no sense to me. The only logic seems to be that he'd be respected? Clearly nothing to do with his managerial career so why don't we just hire Roy Keane then?
  2. Hard to argue with this part in particular. I completely understand why everybody thinks we're dead and buried, but I don't think we are categorically a worse team than Bournemouth, Everton, Leeds and Forest. A very outside chance of keeping us up this year, but having already been in charge for 6 months to bring us back up if we do go down. I think he's a very capable level of manager to have in the Championship.
  3. (sorry American posters) but I don't think he'll be too far off a cliche in his pressers, from what I've seen.
  4. No shit people are moaning about a manager Leeds sacked 2 days ago for being not good enough
  5. Athletic confirming Marsch being considered Fucking hell
  6. Haha. Just sacked for having another team in relegation threat and he’s good enough for us days later. Fucking embarrassing if that’s true but taking that American accounts word with a pinch of salt.
  7. Wouldn’t want Nuno whatsoever, rather we went down maybe having a bit of fun with somebody like Knutsen than some depressing Nuno-ball to finish us off
  8. No let’s stop with that Adkins shit immediately
  9. Anybody who thinks there is a chance of Pochettino may be borderline insane. Gerrard, Marsch, Lampard & Selles in particular stand out as the worst possible outcomes. I'd want one of the two other Argentinian's if possible, although I think Gallardo is almost just as unlikely as Poch.
  10. If we hire Gerrard or Marsch I’m not going back this season
  11. I don't disagree by any means, but it'll still be a thought process to have as nobody is giving up in February, even if we all do think we're doomed.
  12. The question is do we throw a bucket load of money at Allardyce to try and keep us up this year, or do we hire somebody with the hope they keep us up, but a plan in place to bring us back if they don't (Bielsa?).
  13. It really is just an absolutely brainless comment isn't it. You can somewhat understand it if we're chasing the game/trying to score a winner but we were literally already winning and he's saying that ffs. Played pretty well against 10 men too until he had 15 minutes with them.
  14. Probably an amount of recency bias but this is the worst football (in relation to the level) and most dislike I’ve ever held for a manager.
  15. May be being pessimistic but I just don’t think the official account post a video of his interview just now if he was leaving
  16. Utter madness. The amount he backs himself in those situations as well, I just cannot see that being a decision on his behalf. But I’m probably just looking for any extra reason to criticise this prick
  17. Yeah I’m with you on this one. Rather at least have another chance at a fresh set of ideas.
  18. It’s bullying? Fuck off
  19. The way we came out 2nd half is enough for him to go in itself, let alone everything else. Only one team was winning that game at 1-1, and that is incredible
  20. Got to make room for a CB at full-back.
  21. Yeah I've got absolutely no idea how to feel about tomorrow. Echoing the post above that if we suddenly find ourselves 2-0 down I'd be hoping for 4/5 just for the guarantee. I think there is quite literally a 0% chance we stay up under Jones, both due to his managerial incompetence and the lack of support from the fans. Whilst I think there is a very small chance regardless, there is at least some hope that a new guy could come in, get a quick result and get the fans on side. I actually (maybe stupidly) don't doubt that we have the quality in the squad to keep us up, we're just not getting it out at the moment. I also agree that the worst result, and what I'm expecting, is a 0-0/1-1 draw.
  22. Be interesting to see if he goes there (and was therefore a realistic option for us) after he recently turned down Ajax. I expected he'd wait until the Summer to get a better position but I guess money talks. Anyone we'd get, in what I'd imagine to be the next weeks/a month, is either going to be a manager who I'd imagine is happy to stay if we get relegated (i.e. Jones) or perhaps a short term deal similar to what we did with Hughes (Allardyce?). It's not pretty reading, and you'd have liked to have thought we could've done something a lot more exciting 2/3 months ago.
  23. In fairness I think most people would call you a bit of a tool as well. 😇
  24. Literally to the supporters of the club who employ you, give over. I couldn't care less about the kid or his career but it's hardly surprising that people are saying he's a bit of a tool off the back of that.
  25. The reports of an attitude problem are probably linked to him in the away end at St Mary's sticking the finger up to our fans, if I had to throw a wild guess.
