I actually cannot believe how unlikeable this bloke is.

I hope we hear something from Stuart Armstrong when he eventually leaves (likely this Summer to be fair). Ralph didn't seem keen on him towards the end and now NJ isn't using him either. He obviously isn't the best player in the world but I think 99% of this forum would agree he's better than what we've got. Emphasised by the biggest (only?) cheer on Wednesday night being when he was brought onto the pitch. He must be an absolute ass, or just remarkably lazy in training, because it really doesn't make much sense. Especially when you watch who plays in front of him each week.

Not much to praise the board about at the minute but done somewhat well to get him in quickly. Hopefully he's ready for Goodison, and hopefully there's a few more in the works.

Salisu has great athleticism and is for the most part a good defender, although very prone to some rash moments as he loves jumping in front of the striker to get the ball. One thing about him which is really amplified with our current squad is how terrible he is on the ball. In fact, none of our CBs are capable of picking a pass which is something we really utilised with Vestergaard, and both van Dijk and Alderweireld a little further back. This is why I assumed we were going for a CB who can sit in-between Sali/ABK in this god awful system who can actually play a pass out wide, between the lines or drive the ball 15 yards up the pitch where necessary. However, we've somehow landed on Michael Keane who is just as incapable of that as Lyanco. (Last 365 days, compared to Premier League CB's per 90 minutes)

He scored against West Ham and twice against Sevilla the year before, and a hattrick against Spurs the year before that. His Champions League record is 12 games, 6 goals and 1 assist. His Europa League record is 30 games, 13 goals and 6 assists. His Croatian League record is 132 games, 57 goals and 29 assists. Adding a goal and two assists in limited minutes at the World Cup this year. Even if you (somewhat fairly) want to disregard his club record, the numbers above are still very impressive. There's obviously red flags like you say when a player has just turned 30 and hasn't gone a level above Croatia in his career, but there's enough decent signs with his European record for him to be worth a punt in my eyes."
