I cannot believe somebody is spending their Saturday afternoon defending Elyounoussi
-
Terrible selection. Terrible half. Wonder what smartass comments he'll make after this.
-
what the fuck does anyone see in Elyounoussi
-
This is the kind of shit I could do without though. He's making it sound like he's done a good job so far and we're literally 0/4 in the league. Yes the criticism would stop if we could get a point in the league?
-
100%. Lavia's fitness will probably be the main key in whether we go down or not.
-
JWP for me. I think he really excels in a midfield three. Absolutely everywhere tonight.
-
Of course, there's no doubt about that. You don't make it easy for the fans to get behind the team when you're taking shots at every chance when you're yet to win a game. He's proving to be an incredibly divisive person to get behind, which is exactly what we don't need. I'd be more concerned about somebodies wellbeing if they were at the Forest game and didn't boo.
-
Whether you think it's fair for him to take a dig at the fans or not, all it's doing is creating tension which will (and is) leading to inevitably bigger reactions when we don't do well. It's nice to win a couple of cup games but he got 0 points against Brighton, Fulham and Forest. He doesn't need to keep reminding us it'd be a miracle to keep us up. I hope he turns it around, but he has a huge chip on his shoulder and currently hasn't done anything. He is a tool, sorry.

Brilliant performance. We just HAVE to take these two results into Everton. I don't want to be doom and gloom on a great night but if we don't go and win at Goodison it's all irrelevant. -

Haaland and Elyounoussi coming on. Somewhat funny. -

I think it's a mixture of him being very good and the drop off to the next player just being so catastrophic. -

That's the best half I've seen from us since Chelsea A. Credit where it's due, hope we don't sit back and screw the 2nd half. -

Nobody wants us to go down. The reason we're against him is he's just lost 3 winnable games in a row, is playing horrible football and is sounding like a prick every time he's given a microphone. I imagine everyone would be pretty happy if we win today. -
Probably our best player, although been much below his level much like everyone else so far this season. Didn't really see any way he was going to sign a new contract. Probably going to get an average fee as well. Oh well, kind of beyond caring about players leaving with the state of us.
-
Hope he's a bit nuts, but not quite Lyanco level. Oh, and actually good as well.

If you're going to play a front two that shit and essentially throw the game then at least rest Lavia etc for Saturday. -
Lyall from SSN said on Twitter that Argentinian striker Alcaraz was in Southampton whilst he was actually just bordering a plane in Argentina, so I think it's worth taking what they say with a pinch of salt. On the off chance they are right about 2 players close, they definitely meant Alcaraz as one of them given Lyall's tweet.

Not going to pretend to know anything about him but I really wanted a winger & 8 this window and they’ve done that pretty quick. We’re still absolutely in need of a striker & cover for Lavia, we’ll see how that goes. I’d hope this means we’re planning on playing the 4-3-3 long term, but we’ll see.

Legend. Loved the moment a few years ago where he was talking through his career and was asked to save his favourite shirt and it was a Saints one.
