  1. Which sky channel? Nothing of the sort has been on SSN.
  2. To be fair to the star, while it is a comic, they are only repeating something that was reported in AS, a popular spanish sports newspaper. http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&langpair=es|en&u=http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/liverpool-mejor-colocado-poder-fichar/20120917dasdasftb_44/Tes
  3. Kelvin has had an entire career to work on the basics, he just isn't good enough for this league so it's a situation that needs sorting. Whether that's by giving Gazzaniga a chance to play or signing a free agent like Gordon action must be taken. Let's not forget that he played a season of PL football with Sunderland and was diabolical then too.
  4. How is Boruc still a free agent? Was Fiorentina's number 1 last season and kept 14 clean sheets.
  5. Good shout. Benali as assistant?
  6. Par for the course at the Madejski stadium.
  7. That's a good point, but other than Benitez or the even less likely Guardiola are there any foreign managers without a job that could be brought in? Delio Rossi is listed by the bookies but given the reason he lost his last job I don't see many takers for him (He assaulted a player who got upset at being substituted)
  8. Would definitely give Gazza a chance now, I mean if the second choice GK isn't good enough to get a chance when the number one is playing badly then why sign him in the first place?
  9. Perhaps I'm being negative here, but if Cortese and Reed interfere as much as some people suggest I just don't see a marquee name or anyone with worthwhile PL experience willing to put up with interference with team affairs (signings and such), whereas a lower league coach may be more willing to put up with it because its an opportunity at managing a PL club.
  10. Some big names on this list and some that just wouldn't be good enough. Say Cortese decides Adkins isn't up to it and wants a big name like Benitez or heaven forbid Redknapp to come in and sort things out. If the rumours about his and Reeds' influence over signings etc are true, does he really think managers like the ones mentioned are going to put up with an investment banker and a guy who failed as a player and as a manager telling them that they know better and interfering? I think we'd be more likely to see another promising nPC/l1 manager come in tbh.
  11. Our next 6 contain a good number of winnable games; Villa Everton Fulham West Ham Spurs WBA Should aim for 10 points from that lot.
  12. It's not just about the goals, his distribution is shocking and he doesn't hold on to anything. A couple of those goals I would hope Gazzaniga would have done better with. Hooiveld's OG in particular, he let the ball squirm right under his body, unforgivable.
  13. I just hope that the players can put this hammering behind them before the Villa match, looked like they still hadn't got over the nature of the United defeat. First game for a long time where the players looked as if they didn't believe they could get a result.
  14. This may sound like over-reaction, but I feel like Gazzaniga should be given a chance in goal against Villa. Davis has made far too many mistakes in these first four games, Gazzaniga can't possibly be worse.
  15. Puncheon was good second half, Yoshida wasn't too bad after his mistake and Ramirez showed lots of promise, other than that a real stinker of a performance
  16. The midfield should be getting just as much criticism as the defence here BTW, giving Podolski and Cazorla in particular way too much time on the ball, if you don't close players like that down they'll tear you to shreds.
  17. Harsh to blame NA for what we have seen so far, some of the performances so far from the better players has been well below what you'd expect of them. Feel bad for Yoshida, probably get eviscerated for the defending on that third, but if you chuck a player in at the deep end after one training session you are going to get communication issues like the one that caused the error. Was Hooiveld injured?
  18. Shouldn't put any stock in newspaper predictions, several of them had Dean Hammond starting at CB against Man City in their previews the other week.
  19. Uruguay have to be one of the most over rated sides in international football at the moment. A defence that makes ours look world class and hoof-ball on the attack, Ramirez hasn't had the opportunity to show too much this half as the midfield been by-passed for the most part. Alvaro Pereira in particular is shocking.
  20. Don't worry as explained by ITV's expert commentary team during the first half England are now playing a style of football for "grown-ups" and we, the masses need to be educated before we get it...
  21. Maybe you got the illness that forced Walcott and Sturridge to pull out.
  22. Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints Saints are delighted to confirm that Adam Lallana has been drafted into the England squad for tomorrow's game against Ukraine. #saintsfc
  23. all over 4-0 Colombia. Uruguay were terrible. Ramirez did OK when he come on, tried to make things happen. Some decent passes and good runs. One thing that was impressive was the way he could keep control of the ball under physical pressure.
  24. Oh yeah now I see it. Although the "I've been told" makes it seem like more hear say. He also implies Guly was entirely NC's doing, but many people already thought that already.
  25. He has? I have his twitter page open right now and see nothing of the sort. Did he delete it? The most recent tweet I see is the one where he writes Which is puzzling in itself as he seems happy to criticise NC in public as has Benali so I don't understand what is preventing any of these jilted legends explaining their grievance.
