Alpine is actually a popular poster, says things as he sees them. Alpine stirs up the passions on this board and I cannot see why people get so upset. This is a great forum compared to some of the other sanitised and bland sites you might find.

All the chickens coming home to roost today. We have had a lucky run in the last two years and have not addressed big problems. I can see us sliding down to the bottom three, relegated and in Div 1 before long.

This is not as important a game as the Villa game was. We need to grind out a few wins and get beyond the 44 point mark to ensure next season we play in the Premier League. Tomorrow is about keeping the defeat respectable.
