  1. But that is the very essence of being a football fan. Everyone can have an opinion. Everyone knows best. Memories are short and loyalty is fickle. When the team is successful all the fans knew this was the way and when we are down we all know where things are going rong. The Drama is played out with passion and intensity but without pain and bloodshed. That is the essence of the football supporteer.
  2. All my judgements and opinions are very carefully considered based on evidence and with a litlle bit of conjecture.
  3. It's early in the season, neither the team or individuals can be properly judged yet.
  4. BTW Dubai, were you ever part of DWAS in the 80's and 90's ?
  5. Fantastic stuff. The Daleks will win one day I am sure !!!
  6. How rude, I think you should apologise to Dubai immediately !
  7. You can think what you like Dubai. Anyway I promuised you and others I would self destruct when Hooper signed and many said that my demise would be imminent. Still waiting for that one ! Salute the daleks Salute the Daleks ! SALUTE THE DALEKS !
  8. Ihave noticed your obsession with Eileen Drewery, you need to book a consultation mate !
  9. W'd have been OK if the manager label had said Glenn Hoddle...as it should have been if it weren't for the tactics of the vocal minority.
  10. Hang on according to Toadhall Ramirez has agreed terms, so what is the problem.
  11. Buy 2 and get 1 free
  12. It's no use buying squad players like we di in 2004, it will only reult in the same ending and will have cost us more.
  13. I think Redkrap is past his best, anyway he is a big money wheeler dealer and I can't see Saints bankrolling him. If we go down and we are in a good financial state I would say we were in a reasonably strong position to build again in the NPC. I fear a financial meltdown far more than relegation and have to say I would not like to be in the situation you find yourselves that's for sure.
  14. Your assertion sounds very valid, except for WBA who did adopt a 'yoyo' strategy and have been successful. Of course, the management would be absolutely delighted if we stayed up this year, but I cannot see them putting the club at financial risk with over inflated transfers and wages. Take heed of that lot down the road and the mess they got themselves into.
  15. True. My prediction was based early on our lack of activity in the transfer market. We got lucky at the last moment with some signings and dipped in December before resuing the situation in January transfer. Could have gone wrong and in the end we limped over the finish line.
  16. I suspect you made this comment tongue in cheek. However, you are right. We need to stick together as a club in what is bound to be a hard season. Spirit will help us through and should we get relegated we will have gained some valuable experience build again and return to the premier stronger and wiser. NA is a good manager but he has possibly one of the hardest jobs in the league. sacking him will do no good. I would like to see someone of the pedigree of Glenn Hoddle help NA.
  17. We cannot move fast or decisively. We neither have the will or the nowce !
  18. I have comnsistently said since June that this scenario is very likely part of the managements view on developing a sustainable finanacil model based on the WBA 'yoyo' strategy. I have been mocked, abused and ridiculed by many on this site who are now coming over to my way of thinking but are unlikely to credit me for making an early call.
  19. Another person agreeing with my theory of two months ago. More and more people are concurring with my yoyo theory by the hour. Salute the Dalek ! Salute the Dalek !
  20. In reply to above posts. It would be crazy NOT to plan for relegation, in fact I would say it was wreckless not too. I am sure the likes of Norwich, Swansea, Reading have a plan if relegation should happen. Good management plans for all inevitabilities as far as possible.
  21. Join me on the limb, where I have been sitting since June. I think people have been hoodwinked into believing there was going to be a vast outlay on transfers
  22. I would be interested whether you now agree with my views that we have been planning for a WBA style 'yoyo' strategy ? My view has been rubbished by a fair view posters over the last few months but I think secretly more people are coming round to my way of thinking.
  23. Good post. I cannot imagine Glenn Hoddle would have allowed us to lose 2-0. We would have won 3-2...probably.
  24. 1. Enjoy the ride. If we go down, we can look forward to the NPC which is a great league
  25. We need to go for this cup, it may alleviate the gloom if we are struggling in the league and a good 2nd prize if we get relegated.
