We are top, yes and Norwich are in the Premiership. I would say Lambert has been proven to be successful whereas NA has still to be proven ! BTW ther s a difference. Norwich finished the job of filling all the holes in the squad by July whilst we only half finished the job !

Norwich are flying high with a great team spirit and few arseholes. It seems that Lambert's secret is to get into the transfer market early, sign players that are good but low profile and build the team sprirt around this without prima donna. We could do the same !

In that case how come Norwich did act decisively both ths summer and the summer before. If maynard was too expensive, Sharpe never lkely to move and Fontaine have a dodgy knee then we were going for either the wrong players or the one we were not prepared to afford. Smacks of bad planning and lack of decisiveness. Also, we left the signing of these players to very late so we could not then move on others when they went wrong ! There's the evidence mate, so put that in your pipe and smoke t !

Agreed we fannied around all summer and ended up missing some key targets. We need to be more decisive and aggressive. I said it before and i'll say it again, we need to take a leaf out of Norwich City's book when it comes to being decisive in the transfer market. They were done and dusted by July while we were still faffing about.

Good post. It will be interesting to see what happens in the transfer market. I think Cortese is either trying to get us up on the cheap, or he is sticking rigidly to a sustainable transfer and wage policy and would rather us build gradually even if it means missing promotion this year. On that latter point if we do not strengthen I am sure we will drop down the league very rapidly and finish lower mid table.

It's an absolute travesty that we are talking about something in late December that should have been sorted in early June ! It's amazing how so many are changing their tune to something I have been saying since the summer.
