Patience is a virtue, I would hazard that there has been some very clever tactics played here.

IMO the Swiss group is a far better bet and has the know how to bring in the best management team. I had to say this after a long time of watching and waiting.

Kevin Keegan is a big name manager, and ex Englnad manager, and he would give the club a lift. If we cannot get keegan we should go for another big name manager.

I must admit, compared to our current form, Hoddlle's record at saints was a disaster.

Trouble is, saints fans rarely choose a manager for his managerial ability, in fact many a good manager is dismissed for little persoanl vendettas.

Or indeed enjoying our break after an exhaustive escape and worrying about the next campaign before it even started. One thing for sure, the fact that we were also tipped to go down and ridiculed by others helped the whole club and supporters to act at one with the satisfaction of confounding our critics time and time again. we seem to have lost that in recent years. Did we get too complacent towards the end of the WGS years ?

Its not like the old days. I remember in the 90's in our epic relegation struggles when the close season was the best season ! We had a fair few years when relegation was on the cards from August through to May and only settled in the last few games !

If Shearer where to come to Saints, proved himself, then moved back to his 'spiritual home', it would be like Groundhog day aka Hoddle ! I could just about see this scenario. However, if we had a manager who did well with us in L1 it is unlikey any Premier clubs would take the risk of appointing a manager without proven Prem experience. Saints gamble on Sturrock in 2004 was extremely risky and a failure and still begs the question, why ?

That is all I want. But, there are some people who will not admit their mistake and would rather their part in the whole episode was either buried under other excuses or even forgot. I do not intend to let this happen until they own up !
