That's good to know; my N95 is ancient now but I just don't fancy anything else that's out there - I wanted to like the N97 but it just didn't do it for me. N86 looks tempting - what's the camera like?

+5000; this was my biggest beef with Burley and set alarm bells ringing in my mind probably even before the likes of Alpine etc.
-
I couldn't imagine supporting anyone other than Saints; I would probably have given up on football. Might possibly have taken in the occasional Aldershot game with my mate from Whitehill (also Saints) but certainly wouldn't have felt any affinity with them.

Excited too - tempered by the nagging doubt in the back of mind that this time last season I was genuinely confident of our prospects too, d'oh!! Totally different situation now though; I really think the worst is behind us and we're starting the long climb back to the PL [-o

Murty ... Fat, unfit, and off the pace?

+1, think he would be a worthwhile signing for us -
100% agree with that; what SHE said, sorry!!! #-o

Poll: Would you be happy for Pearson to be our manager?
Petersfield Saint replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
In preference to WGS/KK/Coppell? No, sorry. In preference to Tony Adams? Infinitely! -
Keegan would be my first heart choice for the excitement it would create, that he hasn't managed us before, and as my childhood hero. WGS would also be a choice from the heart more than the head as I still think it's unlikely he'd come, along with the "Never go back" factor - but I'd be over the moon with either, or Hoddle for that matter. As for what the head says... I really have no idea! BTW - what have I missed about Klinsmann? Why are some people slating him?

Creaming territory!!
-
I Like your thinking! Strachan/Keegan - I will cream myself!! Coppell/Hoddle - I will almost cream myself!!
-
What he said. Sorry Mark, you weren't the right man for the job but thanks for sticking around and trying your best (unlike at least a couple of managers in our recent past); good luck for the future.

Just want to add that I'm already feeling VERY optimistic about the new season and that even promotion isn't out of the equation! Then again I thought we were going to make the play-offs last season!

+1. I too wasn't his biggest fan in his first season and tbf he did have quite a number of ropey games - but I would blame that more on Burley for not dropping him and giving Bart a go earlier when he was on form. But easily our best player for probably the last two seasons, not just last. Well done Kelvin - you've certainly won me over, and especially for your loyalty. Fair play to you sir

So who will be renewing/buying a ST?
Petersfield Saint replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
Depends on the price but I'd certainly like to get one (my first since 01/02!). If not I'd at least get a membership - I know I probably don't need one but would like to show my support for the club in any way that I can -
Best Game at the Dell: Win, Draw or Lose
Petersfield Saint replied to Redondo Saint's topic in The Saints
Was going to mention the 6-3 but TBH that was a surreal afternoon for me (and my ManUre-supporting boss who I brought with me - happy days:)). I think my favourite match was the one vs Boro a couple of matches before - Ravanelli, Juninho et al and yet we tonked them 4-0 (first league win of the season too?) including Tiss scoring from a corner. Didn't Neil Moss save Rava's penalty too (or did he miss it?)? -
(and 100% agreed)

What he said; he certainly wouldn't be my first choice manager but at this moment in time ANY form of continuity has got to be a good thing. Fair play to him.
