Agreed. I've had a go with the N97 and really wanted to like it; a year or 18 months ago it would have been a great phone but now it's just underwhelming compared with what else is out there. It's not a bad phone, just a bit disappointing compared with what it could have been

I've been thinking about an N86 for a while as a natural successor to my elderly N95 but also rapidly being won over by the HTC Hero which has the best-working touchscreen I've come across so far. In the end it'll probably come down to the camera which is miles better on the Nokia; shame it's just a bit of a boring phone (albeit a good one)

Good post - sums up pretty well how I feel. It's been a disappointing start but I think things will click and I'm impressed with the signings (for this level) so far. I'd certainly give AP at least a season to turn things in the right direction, but five years? Lol! I can remember people saying that when Burley joined!
