As of today we are the best and most consitent team in the division. Yes we lost two away games against teams in the bottom three but to date but if there is any league in Europe where top can lose to bottom it's the championship. No result should be much of a surprise in this league. I think we can all agree and a couple of quality signings will help our cause but the lads have done brilliantly up to now and have shown over the last 18 months thay they are not bottlers. Some of these threads over the last couple of days remind me of this time last year when we were no where near the top of league 1! I guess some things never change.

It's good that our players have more bottle and perspective than half on here do or we would have no chance

So WHAT!!

IMO when Barney is fully fit, he's easily a 10-15 goal a season striker in this league. Not amazing but I'd rather him in our squad than anywhere else

Public Sector Cuts V Tax Rises For Those Of Us That Pay Their Wages
Dig Dig replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Public sector cuts or private sector tax rises? I'd rather we had a government with the balls to target those who created the crash of the economy instead of going all out to protect them. Until the government properly regulate the banks and countered the billion pound bonus culture as well as ensuring that corporation tax dodgers are held accountable, any impact to the average man on the street will hold no credibility. -
Do you think it's right and fair on the players that a proportion of our fan base booed them at half time because we were one down? Especially in a game where we'd won all 18 of our previous league games at St Marys.

It's pointless mate. He's either on a wind up or mentally ill. I think it's the former but after 6/7 years of hearing about Hoddle and vocal minority it could well be the latter too!
-
I'm glad you've moved on from hoddlegate but do you realise that you only have 1 month left for Saints to fulfill your prediction of mid table obscurity before you start sounding utterly ridiculous?
-
Yep, some more pearls of wisdom from some of our resident football experts. I guess with him and Lambert both unable to make the step up we're in for a hell of a struggle this season.

Good that you did. You just know someone would pull this thread back up in a year

Mini crisis after 2 games!? Unbelievable.

Just wait for Sour Mash to do it instead

You are so spineless. It's sickening.

Just watched another 10 minutes. I take it back, they are actually **** but Millwall are ****er. This should be another win.
-
Also watching City now. They look decent and not afraid to pass the ball. I think we'll be able to pick them off though if we put enough pressure on them. Our big fit strong boys will sort them out

Exactly. I wonder how often those with issues about ticketing, car parking, yawn, yawn, yawn actually contact the club? If they did it as frequently as they bang on about it on here I'm sure it would be more beneficial for them and less boring for the rest of us.

Only if you're a social weirdo. And their opinion doesn't count anyway

it was a weird comment to be fair

Not my opinion mate, 99.9% rating on hot or not back in the day. Just stating the facts. Don't feel insecure about it though Turkish, it's a sign of weakness.

I don't care if he does or doesn't to be honest. I think it's a nice gesture though in the way that ST holders are shown some appreciation and given a rare opportunity for a more intimate insight into how the club is being run. The feedback from those who went from what I've seen has been good and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the company of NC. What is there to disagree with?

I've never even listened to a forum on the radio either. Again (and I have no evidence of this a side from my own experience) most saints fans aren't interested enough in the politics of the club to really bother. If people think that this forum is not representative of a fan base then a fans forum with a couple of hundred fans present is even less so. How can a club gauge the satisfaction of a fan base? I would suggest two ways: 1) take a gander at the league table 2) look at the number of people coming through the turnstile
-
The majority of fans have happily gone their entire Saints supporting life without the need to attend a fans forum. It's just an opportunity for the vocal minority to have a little moan. They are nothing more than a token gesture. There are plenty of other ways to gauge supporter satisfaction which are plenty more representative.

You've just described me perfectly expect for the fact that I'm a 10 for looks. I must try harder
