I think MLG forgets how bad we have been missing the likes of Lovren, Lallana, Shaw and Lambert. I won't even include Morgan in that. We have loads of strengthening to do. Tadic looks decent and a good buy but one we should have been looking at regardless, let alone as a replacement. Pelle is a gamble.

You wouldn't apply "logic" that way around becuase it doesn't make sense. What I do know is that we have always struggled to win games with key players missing and I wouldn't have bet on us getting two results last season without them in the side.

How did we get on against them without Shaw, Lallana and Lambert last season? We haven't ever shown that we could win games without them.

Better hope that we are just being very good at keeping the majority of our dealings on the d-low. Or hope that a lot of the strengthening doesn't come direct from the academy.

Well Wanyama was awesome against Barca and isn't as good as Morgan.

Comparing fee's with any player is stupid. You can find one example but then others which completely contradict that view. Ross McCormack went for 11M FFS so no fee should be a surprise.

Well I'm continually told that it's as simple as players wanting to leave for money and champions league football and there is nothing which can be done about it. The speed at which the deals were done and the confidence of 1 club in particular basing their transfer strategy around 3 of our main players tells me that the club were not all together that opposed to selling them off.

I think our playing style under poch, how well we played against some of the big sides and the international recognition have all built up to the situation this summer. I do believe that the clubs have had a nod from Saints to know that the players are there for the right fee. Liverpool would never have actually planned to raid 3 players from Saints without knowing that it would and could be done fairly easily.
