  1. I would ban Olallana, S-Clarke and Minty. Had enough of their blatent trolling, probably skates!
  2. As said above, a very strange game. On most days we would have won in a Fulamesq comfortable victory which would have been totally embarassing for Vill but we conspired to give them at least 2 goals which means that your chances of winning are already fairly limited. All their goals came at times where we were pushing to go ahead so not much went our way on the night. Tonight again showed how dependent we are on stability in personnel, not many players ready to push for a starting 11 place beyond our best 11 and instantly make us more vulnerable. Rickie needs to be dropped for a couple of games IMO, general sloppy play, limited mobility and hardly any shots at goal. A more creative option in January is needed if Gaston is not going to get a chance. We are overly workman like and tidy at times, thank **** for Lallana.
  3. Saying that the team will never create many chances for our strikers is ridiculous. It's an area we can improve upon and I'm sure Pochettino will be addressing this. Rickie hasn't had many chances either but has the benefit of taking pens and free kicks and also the huge benefit of knowing those who play around him. I'm saying 6 games because because it's a stupidly short period to judge the success of signing. It's not a hard concept to grasp is it?
  4. Some people just don't seem to understand football. Osvaldo is an Italian International, proven everywhere else he has played and has started 6 games in the premier league. At the same time, the chances the TEAM have created for him have been few and far between so far so anyone with a bit of nouse will know it's far too soon to say that he is a dud or can't hack it in this league.
  5. You know exactly who that is!
  6. 1 goal in 7 for the Rhodes, the type of record which causes a mass Mongolian frenzy on here.
  7. Oh Bazza
  8. You could pick a game and say the same thing about most of our players.
  9. I think it's a valid point, take Arsenal and Chelsea out of the equation and we haven't scored more than 1 away from home. I think the tactical strategy away is to control the ball and defend from the from the front, hoping to nick a goal. At home we are definitely more fluid going forwards, particularly Shaw and Clyne who seem to have more of an attacking intent.
  10. quoting gone a bit weird. My most recent reply to you Nick is in bold above
  11. Look at the games he played in, add to that bizarre substitutions when we were in winning positions by Adkins. KD always has been the fall guy by some on here, they disappear when he was gaining us points but slide out of the shadows when he made a mistake (DT is exempt as he always slagged him off). KD was man of match on a large slice of the seasons gone by, and especially at the away games. i accept he is not likely to be on the top of his game but he is still a decent keeper. If we are going by past glories in the lower leagues, there have been a whole host of players who were great for us but not what was required in the prem. Davis is no different IMO, great servant and deserves his contract and role as club captain but his ability at this level is way off from what it needs to be.
  12. I'm sure it's nothing personal. We don't see what Gaston is or isn't doing in training so can't really get annoyed with Pochettino about it. I'm sure his decisions are always for the good of the team whether you agree with them or not.
  13. We didn't do any better with Davis though. Did we win any games with Davis in goal last year?
  14. Agree with the sentiment but Davis is not one of those 30+ keepers who is getting better with age. In the opening games of the season last year he looked short and round and was getting beat by shots quite central where he got nowhere near them. Davis has done appallingly bad with Sunderland and us in the prem. I'm not saying that Gazza is a whole load better but at least he has the capacity to improve, Davis is on a downward slide.
  15. not sure that he is.
  16. No point playing Davis, has shown time and time again that he is not up to it at this level. At least Gazza has age on his side and is more agile
  17. To be honest, we're not really creating many chances for our strikers. Difficult to judge them, we ask a lot of them in terms of defensive work and helping the team but means they are often getting the ball too deep to be effective. Rickie is a better play maker so can be effective deeper but feel that Osvaldo is struggling because he trying to make an impression in all the wrong places, trying to make something happen.
  18. Loads of copies popping up on ebay today.
  19. It's laziness such as this which is blocking his progress
  20. You been under a rock?
  21. Luckily he is now in charge of a better side than Espanyol AND Real Madrid.
  22. I doubt anyone outside of Southampton will have much of an opinion at all and I'm not sure what Redkapp has to do with anything, like everyone else you win some and lose some. Whilst it's clear he's not in Pochettino's immediate plans, he had a very good start to life at Saints but then got that nasty injury and then had a family bereavement to deal with back home. Soon afterm, Adkins was gone and he's had to try and adapt to a new manager and a new system which includes players who have played well and got good results and deserve to be in the team instead of him. No need for over reactions like yours, he is just mid price Premier League player who will no doubt go on to have a very successful career.
  23. He did well under Adkins so that's not true.
  24. Can't even speak English and doesn't know this league. Would be a terrible appointment
