There used to be a poster on this forum called Simon who knew lot's of players around Europe and would have been able to provide plenty of names for consideration on this thread. It's shame he isn't around anymore.

All seems to point back to the summer transfer situation. Players coming in and not even making the 25 man squad and others who are benched or not included in the squad. Holloway referred to changes in the squad and lost team spirit because of it. Seems to indicate that players were forced on him and his refusal to play them won't have gone down well with the men upstairs. Goes to show how important the clubs set up and infrastructure is like at every level.

Holloway will now end up in the Championship again as soon as a fairly decent job comes up. Maybe even the Boro job.

Holloway in as Passion Coach?
-
Could be right mate, he was lined up for the role of Passion Coach but a few influencial players at the time like Chaplow were against the idea.

Why do some posters revel in players/managers doing badly?

No need to get annoyed because he called you out on one of your lies mate. Maybe try a bit of honesty in the future? -
Time for Gaston to get his chance and deliver at united? (injury permitting)

You pay for talent, not effort mate. -

The more you earn the less you do, it's the way of the World. I am a millionaire and do little to no work, why should Gaston be any different? -

It's all relevant though isn't it? 2 years ago, Rory Delap was our record signing so by your definition, had we got someone for £3.9M instead of £12M, we would be justified in expecting more from them than anyone else because they would be our 2nd mosr expensice player in the clubs entire history? -
Where has he said that he's failed to settle and wants talks with MP about his future? Sounds like they are still running with the story off the back of his mis-qouted interview he did a couple of weeks back. How many teams break their transfer fee record only to loan the player out 6 months later? It is a stupid article.

I thought the appointment had all the traits to be a disaster but so far it couldn't have gone much better. Seems to a be a great tactician and man manager and has an auora about him which many top managers do. As for how long we can keep him, who knows but as long as we are successful and he is well supported by NC, I don't think he'd be in rush to move on.

Captainchris can't even use the website to buy tickets properly so I wouldn't worry too much about what he is saying.

4 pacey wingers, 2 strikers, a CB, a LB and a Goalkeeper or two.

Love all the "let's start asking serious questions" comments whenever details of clubs finances are released. How and when are you planning on asking these questions a side from on a mboard?
-
Have you added in bonuses, insurance, translation costs, food and clothing etc. Figure could be close to £100M??

Lowest number of touches of any forward in the prem based on number of minutes played.....yet he is a good player and showing a bit of effort and Osvaldo isn't? Take your yellow tinted glasses off Bazza
-
No, when we sign players from abroad for a decent amount of money I sit and scrutinise and declare after half a dozen or so games that that they are crap and not suited to the league.
-
I think I am getting the hang of this talent assessment now. Attacker who is foreign and signed from the continent = unsuited to the prem, lightweight, uninterested, overpriced and poor temperament.

The thing is, he has come good when he had a decent run in the side under Adkins last season. He hasn't had that run since due to injury, Internationals etc and there is obviously something Pochettino is not happy with as well. Not sure I agree about all these chances he is supposed to have had, this season a few sub cameos and a couple a cup games is all he has had. -

Nice insight into the structure of the club which is clearly defined and executed. Not bad work from just another man in a suit who could easily be replaced by anyone half decent. -
Racism just aint saintly.

Sounds ridiculous. If Townsend was white, Roy would have used the same analogy. Isn't true equality about treating people the same regardless of race and skin colour?
-
It worked when I did it for Guly 2 years ago. He still hasn't said anything/

Enough is enough. Cork isn't playing and isn't in Pochettinos plans. We should get him off the wage bill and recoup our money.

Is this guy on twitter? There should be a campaign of hate against this guy, his wife, kids, pets and anyone associated with him. #dienelsondie
