Because he's on a season-long loan to Swansea.
-
Me neither. Can't see Barclays allowing a reasonable offer to be turned down.
-
As I said on another thread, I hope he can sort it. The first Swansea goal was down to not just one, but many bunching round the ball - and Scotland - like a Sunday League team. Maybe that's not being fair to many Sunday League teams. Anyone watching just knew what was going to happen next - Davis was completely exposed. He might not have had his best match yesterday, but I don't think you could say he was at fault for that one.
-
Oh, dear God. I hadn't realised.
-
He's not ours to loan - we got him from Everton, didn't we?
-
I thought the protest was well reported and the editing certainly got the flavour of the day over well. Also confirmed what I thought at the time about Swansea's first goal. I realise they must have been told to keep Scotland quiet, but at the cost of six men? Flipping Sunday League bunching, leaving the entire goal completely open. Come on Killer, sort out out!!

That would be interesting - I could check it for webbing to see if you've evolved... -

You know, you have a point - there used to be lots of fun threads, odd ideas for songs, stupid puns etc. I kind of miss that. And perhaps more fool me for rising to the bait. But it's still not funny. I'm sure you can do better than that. -
Excellent news - sadly got held up at a union thing so couldn't make it. Thanks everyone for making an effort and taking a stand. LOL'd at the 'duck off Lowe' banner in the Chapel at the end of the match.

Agree that it would be good to see Gillett and Morgan together if they could operate the way they did at the beginning of the season. But if Surman keeps getting dragged infield, how much worse is it going to be if you put Euell or Wotton there? Not right to make Lallana do it, either...
-
Yep, Tuesday. If Surman at LB, who at LM? McLaggon? Bit of an ask making him start...
-
Hmm - don't agree. Saw most of his game close up being in the family enclosure, and he lost his man time and again, and was very often just completely out of position. First goal arguably down to him not paying attention, too. Mills on Tuesday, please. Not like there's much choice....
-
OK, can I rephrase the question? next week, Surman or Mills at LB?

not funny -
Ha, ha, not with me - have you got the newly-discovered radio transcriptions yet? On the other thread OSM said that Fish had been suffering with illness and injury. Surely by now he's better?

My tuppence worth: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=8991 Tend to agreed with Chez and Charlie, who as I recall is a Johnny Cash fan, so also has good taste in music.

We have one - his name is Lloyd James. Oh.
-
Two questions, springing from other threads on the forum: 1. What happened to Hatch? He was as ready as any of the other youngsters at the beginning of the season, but hasn't had a look in at RB. James shows again last night that he really is wasted at RB, and some would say a liability, but could provide the sort of service that frankly has been lacking on the right. If we've got to play a youngster at RB, why is Hatch not there instead of James? 2. Molyneux or Mills? I have only seen Lee Molyneux play once against Donny. Didn't think he was that outstanding. Last night Dave Armstrong seemed to think that he was getting tired at about 70 minutes. Although I saw Mills make mistakes, I never saw him get tired. I haven't got enough to go on to make a comparison, so those who have seen LM play more, is he that much better than Mills? Fish dropped off the first-team radar at about the time of the Great Virus (if you believe the OS). We haven't been able to get to reserves matches this year because of the nipper's own training. Are Hatch and Mills really that far off the standard of the first team?
-
Isn't that the point, though? He never played RB until he came into the first team.
-
Have we completely lost Holmes then? Haven't had the radio on since the match finished. Is he out for months again?
-
His cross is class - and in the reserves he used to take all the corners. Can't do that these days, I suppose...
-
Just out of curiosity - did anyone else listening to RH commentary hear Will Cope call Hoolahan "hula-hoop" in the first half? Left me and the nipper helpless.
-
Absolutely. The lad is showing more character than some of the other youngsters - clearly up for it, knows what kind of game he wants to play and not afraid to go on the offensive. Definitely the bright spark in the Manure game - loved watching him give a bit of verbal to the opposing team. Give DMG a chance to look at his game - put Kayne on!!
-
Point taken. Still, Dyer was SO frustrating last season when he did play - just like Hammill. Fantastic down the wing, but the final cross was never reliable. Would love to see what James could do with a little time further up the field. His crosses are better than both of them, but until we get a proper RB...
