Skate Hate - bit of advice here, buy one a bit larger than actual size required as being cotton they do shrink a bit in the wash. I have a few of the retro style shirts which I wear to matches because I find the modern man-made materials uncomfortable to wear but the old style cotton ones are much better for comfort I find. Good luck.

New manager already approached

All the above is utterley irrellevent and meaningless speculation UNTIL we have new owners which, as I write, now seems unlikely so there will probably be no SFC to be manager of, a prospect about which I am seriously upset. :-( -
Just been on TV that Tom Scott has denied he is involved with or without Lowe. Take that at face value as I do not see the point in making such a statement if within 5 days or so he does turn out to be one of the bidders. The statement said categorically he is not in cahoots with Lowe.

Something on 5 Live at 7am which I only partially heard owing to loud daughter but I caught the words St Mary's and bust.........anyone hear the full piece ? -
Hmmmmm.......that's what Leeds fans thought and all the others who have gone through this particular trap door in recent seasons. Neverthless, I hope you're right....

Saints 2 Tottenham 1 was my first game at The Dell in 1967, I went with 3 school friends who were all Spurs fans and we all stood together in the Milton end - the days before segregation ! Gilzean scored for Spurs in the first half and Ron Davies got 2 in the second half, one bullet header and a penalty I seem to recall. Afterwards, on Southampton railway station platform 2 and desperate for a slash I took a kicking from some Spurs fans who objected to me walking through them in my red-and-white. Can't think why. Anyone else remember that game ?

My dear Skate-Hate, please can I have some of what you're on ?

Actually, looking at our current situation, they (the NOTW) may have been generous. I now think Charlton will catch us and they will finish 23rd with us bottom as I can't see another point coming our way after the Wolves debacle. Maybe the journo at NOTW who wrote that piece can give me next week's lottery numbers as well !!

Do the Skates have an airport...........it's probably them he's come to see.

I think you'll find it's perfectly acceptable within a man-sheep marriage but I'm not sure about outside such wedlock. I went to college with a Welsh bloke many years ago and he freely admitted to the practice.

I take it you'll be sending royalty payments to Gil Scott Heron then ? :-)

Agree with DT - utterly pointless.

To stay in the championship
Jimmy Gabriel's Halo replied to thorpie the sinner's topic in The Saints
Trouble is, Forest, Doncaster, Watford etc are all looking better than us at the moment and are capable of WINNING games now whereas we do not seem to be. It's very difficult to pick two, or even three, other sides that will be worse than we are come the end of the season. The only way out is to win enough games to finish mid table, we will simply not survive by winning that "four team mini-league" at the bottom. Even Charlton may surprise a few yet, so for me it's going to be a near impossible task. -
Bit unfair I think, I believe both are doing pretty well in their respective divisions and we may well see AFC Wimbledon in the Football League within a couple of years if they continue previous form. By which time we may well be playing them....!! And good luck to them and their founding fans who had the b*lls to actually do something.
-
No, don't think so. He scored twice on his Albion debut v Leicester but appears to have done b*gger all since and has received mixed reaction from the Brighton fans. The reason he went on loan to them in the first place was because he fell out with Gary McAllister but with a change of manager at Leeds he may well find himself back in favour with Simon Grayson. Failing that, he will probably re-sign for Brighton despite there own perilous position. Not any better than we have already in my opinion.
