  1. I sure as hell hope we do - my line manager is a Brighton ST holder and the regional director is a Bournemouth fan (who was at St Mary's for that game) and I am getting mighty sick and tired of their smugness. Could it get any worse for me at the moment....? Don't answer that.
  2. And I look forward to Mack's spelling and grammar improving......
  3. It's spelt Tourette's (syndrome) you illiterate skate...
  4. I don't normally join in this sort of thing as I'm too old now to be ar$ed about it but please fellas just ignore this loon, you're only giving him ammunition to come back at you. I normally also quite enjoy the crack between us and the likes of Mero, PES and FMPR even Corp Ho despite the fact they are skates - it can be quite amusing at times. BUT as for you Ossie you're just a complete effing w@nker of the worst kind, you're not funny, you're not amusing or clever or subtle. I expect you still live with your mum and you've never had a girlfriend even though you're nearly 19. Now I expect you like sex and travel - so you know what to do don't you ? And please do us a favour - go and contaminate some other unfortunate team's forum.
  5. Just for general info people there is a very good ipod/iphone repair business in Portslade, East Sussex which is between Brighton and Shoreham by Sea. They can be contacted on ukipodrepairs.co.uk and I can recommend them from personal experience. If you are unable to take your broken machine to them yourself you can post it to them and they usually return within a day or so. However, it is worth taking it there personally as the young lady there is very personable, know what I mean Worth checking out if you have any such problems.
  6. I agree with your sentiment but that would have to be something very special after losing at home to Blackpool today...
  7. I believe West Ham and their holding company are, or were, in a similar situation following the Icelandic banking collapse. And like some of you above I believe there is absolutely NO chance of the PL deducting points from Liverpool or any other so called big club should they do a Portsmouth. Can you imagine the untold damage that would do to their brand image ? Now, on the other hand, should Liverpool get relegated into the FL.....!!?? Hmmm, what a juicy prospect that would be...!!
  8. Completely agree. The degree of baldness is always an issue in this league.
  9. Too late probably to do anything. By paying the fine you have, in effect, admitted the alleged offence. Next time drive away pronto BEFORE they put the ticket on your windscreen. Legally it has to be SERVED on you and if it is not put on your windscreen or actually handed to you it is not valid. Under NO circumstances should you try and plead with the traffic warden/parking enforcement ***t - he or she is just doing his/her job - do NOT accept "it's too late I've already started writing the ticket" and do NOT stand there like a lemon waiting for them to finish as most women (no offence ladies - but you do) tend to do. DRIVE AWAY IMMEDIATELY - the ticket is not valid unless it's actually served on you. If you get one you need to appeal a ticket immediately, not wait until bailliffs have been instructed. You'd be surprised how many Councils do not contest appeals and how many are successful. So in that sense you should have acted earlier. You have my sympathy, nevertheless, as this is nothing more than legalised robbery. It might be worth taking proper legal advice re THREAT that if you did not pay the car would be towed as this might be interpreted as obtaining money by threat or similar. And if you asked the baillif to leave your property he may well have been acting illegally so it might be worth a punt with a solicitor or take a look at UK Driving Secrets ( Google it) for more info. HTH. Good luck.
  10. Does anyone know who the blonde dwarf playing for Colchester was? no word of a lie I thought they'd left the mascot on the pitch for the first five miniutes of the game, niggly little b astard who ever he was. Twas David Perkins, he played on loan for Stockport Co last season and pretty much ran their midfield. He 5' 5" short but taller when he sits down.
  11. Difference being though that Bryn Gunn was never the right appointment for them in the first place whereas AP was for us.
  12. Just to end all speculation as to whose signing this guy is I have had it confirmed to me today that it is most definately another Cortese special along the lines of Papa Waigo. In addition, a striker with pace is (hopefully) on the way in but no name available I'm afraid. Will not be Antonio however even though he is desperate to come to us but Reading won't let him despite the fact he's not starting for them (which IIRC confirms a previous poster's info some time ago). Cannot disclose my source, it's someone with close involvement on the playing side who I happened to meet today. Make of it what you will but it's not idle speculation.
  13. I hope you are right and that I am wrong. I'm just giving my take on the interview which I found unusually downbeat at the end.
  14. What seems to have been missed in this discussion was AP's final comment in the interview I heard on Solent. When asked about transfer activity he categorically stated that he "could not comment on that". This is in direct contradiction of almost every other interview I have heard when he has said things like "talking to one or two players" for example. I may well be wrong but this seems to translate as "that's it, no one else will be coming in".
  15. Yes, I passed that on the way out too. Didn't look good at all so I hope whoever the unfortunate person is will be OK. Correct me if I'm wrong though but is that stretch of the Northam Rd outside of where the road has always previously been closed ? I always got stuck at the big set of traffice lights just further west which in the last two games I have now sailed through.
  16. I got B C & D in 1972 when A levels were A levels and am now a High Court Judge. Now go and achieve something you young person you.
  17. A couple of skates, finely chopped of course, should do that.
  18. Oh dear, what utterley devastating news for his family and all that knew and worked with him. South Today on BBC reporting it was a sudden death. He deserves so much more than our thanks because without him there may well not be a Southampton FC today. We should all of us remember that. RIP.
  19. Nah, don't bother. Life on Mars was pretty good because it was a good, new and interesting idea which was well acted by John Simms and very well over acted by the bloke that played Gene Hunt. Ashes to Ashes was too easy to lose interest in, for me anyway. Now if you want good drama, well acted, great locations and no expense spared go and get yourself the complete series of.......................................... Howards Way. Now that's what you call great drama. Seriously:lol:
  20. Better. No waiting at that traffic light intersection just east of the city centre but still queing further east along the A3024 which I use to get to the M27. Difficult to judge accurately though owing to lunch time KO. I'll wait and see after a 3pm KO.
  21. Come off it mate, you don't really believe this surely. I heard his interview broadcast on Solent this afternoon and it was all ifs, buts and maybes - nothing concrete at all. Chainrai should be a politician the way he avoided answering any of the questions with a positive statement. All he wants is the general direction of out with as much of his money as he can escape with.
  22. Just back from the match and after much thought during the drive home I can't help but think Plymouth have done us a huge favour here. Despite the first half being played almost entirely around their penalty area and crosses and corners coming in regularly there was no one there on the end of them. Their side was made up of 8ft 15" giants almost entirely and Barnard and Connolly never had a chance in the air against any of them. Yet what does Kelvin do ? Yes, bomb very inaccurate high, long balls to them all afternoon. His distribution today was very poor. Playing pretty football is all very well in the Prem, you can get away with being a dwarf there - witness J.Defoe & M.Owen - but in L1 and CCC you do need the type of player Plymouth had today, no nonsense get stuck in and defend in depth with numbers and you will nick those 1- 0 wins you don't really deserve. So, wake up call to AP - get those two pacy wingers/forwards we need, add a BIG nasty CF to back up Ricky, someone who would have got on the end of all those crosses first half. We also need a real nasty midfield pitbull and an eventual replacement for Jaidi who quite possibly will not last the pace for a whole season. Ryan Dickson ? I was hugely underwhelmed by him today. Oh, and by the way I'll be putting a shilling on Plymouth for an outside chance of promotion because that is the sort of team that over 46 games will probably do it.
  23. HMRC will NOT appeal it - too comples apparently.
  24. Don't be ridiculous. Don't you know ALL judges go to lunch.......:)
