  1. We've just got rid of Connolly and Holmes....let's not replace them with more injury prone players... He got a chance at City this year, but barley played because........he's been injured for 6 months! The guy came very close to retiring and I think it's probably best if he does.
  2. The list is as expected to be honest... Really pleased for the young lads making the step up, all 4 of those are class acts. We all know about Ward-Prowse, who IMO has the ability to be premiership class, but Jack Stephens cost us half a millionish from Plymouth...and he'd played a few games for them already and impressed! Luke Shaw and Chambers are the 2 that really excite though, very pacey players who like to take players on....Shaw is very much in the mould of a certain bale, hence why big, big clubs are tracking him.
  3. When we signed him under Pards, you felt it would be a masterstroke if stayed fit. Unfortunately he never ever stayed fit, but the times he was available he made a difference and scored some massive goals. A very fine finisher, but his injuries make it impossible to keep him on.
  4. Peinner, Jarivs, Adam Johnson, Jay Rodriguez.....wow, if this is the calbire of players we're looking at then that's exciting. I just hope it's not all talk again, and we actually sign them!
  5. On the correct contract it's a no brainer, but the worst thing you can do with a player liek Owen is get all excited and offer him mega-bucks on a 2/3 year deal. a pay as you play 1 year contract....then see how he gets on. We won't break our wage structure so he'd need to take a serious drop. I just don't know if he's lost his hunger or not... Growing up he was my favourite player, absoloutley loved him when i was at school. Was a hero to look up to after 98.
  6. Wouldn't have made any difference if he was playing for another team though, there are players ahead of him such as Crouch, Sturridge etc. To be fair, he'd never have been considered if it wasn't for Norwich - so it's a bit **** what he's done. Wonder if this will rock the boat at Norwich?
  7. I doubt either have enquired recently, it's all down to the fact that he's a scouser and people put 2 and 2 together and make 10401240250250. I'm shocked at Grant Holt though, I can only assume that he's been tapped up by a 'decent' sized club - but he's gone about it the wrong way.
  8. Jeez not again, I did a clean up the last time they announced one of these ''days''. Now i've got to tidy up all over again ffs? Might put my out of office on just to be safe.
  9. Ah, happens to all the teams that go down. I'm sure some of us said the same. but yep, they're in for an awful shock as they'll struggle at the start.
  10. Leicester have paid £1m up front, and 700k on future bits and bobs. But it's insane either way you look at it, We got sharp for Less.... I think we were interested, but obviously they flew past our ''fair price''...
  11. It's been ages since I've used hotmail. If you look in the options does it give you a 'recover deleted items' option? or something similar. If not...your last hope is probably contacting hotmail themselves, but I don't believe they do any restores...
  12. Leicester have signed Jamie Vardy for a fee rising to 1.7m, that is INSANE for a non-league player...
  13. He probably didn't stand out too much, but because of our interest in him I kind of followed him most of the game. Looked pretty assured in the glimpses I saw, and his goal scoring record this year is excellent. He's the one player I really want us to sign...have done since the interest came out tbh.
  14. I hope so....they'll struggle to do well as L1 isn't a bad league tbh, there are some decent teams down there who can cause problems....so unless they seriously strengthen then they're ****ed. Look at how PNE found it for example....and they kept most of their championship players!
  15. I've seen him Live twice, and I know that's not a great deal to judge, but you could see from those 2 snippets that he's got quality. He's very skilled on the ball, very clever with his movement and has an exceptional touch. He's not slow, but not massively pacey - but he's always quite a target and scores alot of headers.
  16. Newcastle want Trippier, but they're trying for another RB first - if that fails, then they'll go for Trippier. Depends if he wants to hang around in limbo waiting to be 2nd choice... Jay Rodriguez will generate alot of interest from middle-sized premiership clubs because he's a top, top young player. It's very clear that we like him, we want him, and we've tried in the past. With the extra $$$ we now have and the lure of the PL, I think we could be in a decent position.... Apparently we've acted very well when dealing with Burnley, which is why they allowed us to keep a 'bid' on the table and revist at a later date.
  17. One of the ''better'' ones, but they're all a much of a muchness.
  18. Depends where they were deleted from, was it a local client on the PC? Or via Hotmail/Gmail? With Gmail you can configure a client to grab your mail via Pop3, but it still keeps an archived copy on the webmail version, so you'd still have it there. If the emails have been fully locally downloaded onto the PC and then deleted, it's going to be tricky..
  19. football news ‏@Onthemovetweets Southampton ready a bid to bring jay Rodriguez to st.marys #Southampton
  20. This. Very very talented player.
  21. depends on how you look at it, if it's financial then your list isn't too far away - although Man City are creeping up. Why aren't we top though FFS?
  22. This is a liverpool fan's list of requirements that any new manager must have, I thought this was quite funny to say the least...
  23. We haven't signed anyone yet, FFS?
