The sooner they get rid of this clown the better for them. But their fans are still oddly blinded by past glories and are saying it's the players fault. Sorry, who brought in the dross? Players like Downing, Charlie Adam and Andy Caroll should not be playing for Liverpool. End of. the fact he spent almost 50m on them is frightening and you have to question his sanity.

This. Although once we finish the job I won't care! It's just a bit nerve-jangling at the mo. I keep going back to the win at Hull a few weeks ago, that night we moved 8 points clear of third and 5 pts clear of 2nd. That should have been the night that pulled us closer, but we've slipped up much more than I thought we would since then. Still, once we do it - happy days, but even though this season has been unbelievable and beyond anything I ever expected, it'll always be etched with a tinge of disappointment as we didn't win the bloody thing whilst leading the race for 80% of it.

All games on the final day kick off @ 12:30, 2 games will be on TV. One on Sky, and one on BBC - but they will be broadcast with the 12:30 kick off time too. It wouldn't be fair to have games kicking off at all sorts of times on the last day, when so much can be decided.

Not sure I get your logic there to be honest. Leicester have nothing to be relaxed about, they have royally cocked up this year and they all know it - so they want to end the season with a momentum to take into next year. They will not be relaxed thinking they've had a good year, far from it.
-
Well exactly, Doncaster played pretty well that day as well, yet we still had way too much for them even in 1st gear. We will be fine.

Stop panicking about this game. As long as we are professional we will win. I doubt we'd even need to be in full flow to be honest. They have been relegated for a reason and have the worst away record in the football league for a reason. Whereas we have one of (if not the best) home record in the football league. This is all assuming WHU will comfortably beat Leicester away too, which will not be easy as they are a very handy team in a false position based on squad size and the cost of it.

It's bloody frustrating, just as he was getting back to his form of early on, he's out again. This season has been a nightmare for him injury wise. The game was lost as soon as he went off, as we no longer had any drive or threat in behind the right hand side. The ballance was totally screwed from that moment.

Based on the offensive **** you post, I'm surprised many are so lenient with you.
-
Should be, some nice variation there was well. Bit of pace, power and your typical fox in the box type of striker. If Holt, Cole, Mackie etc can score in the premier league, then so can that batch.
-
We haven't blown it though. I really don't get why people think like this. We'll be fine.

In a funny way, I hope he doesn't. I want to be there when we're promoted, I don't want to watch us get promoted on the back of another teams failure - as that's what it will be billed as by Sky, and the BBC etc. ''WHU Fail, as saints go up''. If they drop points, fantastic, I'd still take it - but I'd rather we do it ourselves, which is what we should have done yesterday!!
-
Good riddance. Enjoy Oldham and Tranmere you ****s.

...Bugger!

I'm a little down, mainly because Reading drew and gave us a really decent route back to the top - and we didn't take it. I wanted to see us win the league this year so bad, and we've been top most of the year which makes it even more frustrating. Anyway, 2nd is 2nd - same prize at the end of the day and it will still cap off an awsome season. After winning 2-0 away at Hull though I didn't envisage us making it this difficult for ourselves!
-
I'd imagine we'll hear very little of him. On my way home last night I took a quick look at this forum on my mobile, and I was not surprised to see 'Alpine' as the last reply to a fair few of them. The guy gets off on our failure and I don't get it as I don't actually think he's a ''troll''.

I'd have to say throwing away that cushion has been ****, but I don't even think we'll have to play in top gear to beat them. They have just been beaten at home by Doncaster ffs! and they have the worst away record in the football league. they are dross, as the table says. If we lose to them then we have serious problems, and I don't think we do. We're good enough to finish the job on an amazing season.

I always felt it would go to the last day, but as long as it was in our hands I'd be pretty comfortable about it - and it is, by 2 points if WHU win. Have faith in the lads. They will know what they need to do next weekend as I fully expect WHU to win tomorrow. To be honest, we couldn't have asked for it much better could we? At home to a relegated team who will more than likley be blooding youth players and preparing for next year. They'll probably put up a bit of a fight but if we're anywhere near our game then this will be comfortable. Don't panic.

I've got a grip and I'm focused on the bigger picture, rather than the last few weeks. As if we get it sorted on Saturday then the bigger picture is that this team has got us to the premier league. They have all been superb this year to get us to the position we are in. Criticism is fine, but getting ''sick'' of players that have contributed to our rise through the leagues is moronic.

It was an awful bit of refereeing, and it changed the game. We were playing well up until that point (albeit not rally testing the keeper) and then the ref' goes and pulls a clanger like that. It totally deflated us, and boosted boro noticeably. Unfortunately we lost Chaplow soon after too, so that was the game gone.
-
''Given Saints home form'' - what, the best form in the league? Yeah. that's it. We'll be fine by the way.
-
Yeah, I'm sick of them to. In fact I'm sick of this entire team for getting us on the brink of back to back promotions. Sack the lot of them.
-
This will be a huge party, and the below-par results of the last few weeks will all be forgotten.

Fonte has really lost his form in the last few months. He's not turned into a bad player overnight that's for sure. He seems to have lost some of his strengeth and is getting turned way too easily, which is then causing him to give away stupid fouls like today. I'm not surpised to see the usual drama queens saying ''Get him out of the club'', but let's get a grip. He is on a bad patch of form, but luckily it shouldn't cost us. He'll play in the premier league next season, but CB is still an area we need more depth.
