  1. Let's just say that no one knows, and when the team sheet comes out we'll be the wiser.
  2. Why have you posted this twice?
  3. Hull 0 - 1 Cov
  4. Probably a draw, but any result is good for us.
  5. Shouldn't you have done that before posting this stupid thread, which worries people for no reason?
  6. Well this thread is fun. By the way, they would try all possible available ways to avoid surgery at this stage of the season. If it was a bad injury they would try things before going for surgery, fact. + He's all over the saints player videos from Thursday training.. I think your source is having you on. He may well not be quite 100% today, but he hasn't had surgery.
  7. We still have a long way to go, but to put it into some sort of context we'll need a run that was worse than our run over Dec/January in order to fail. That period accumulated just 9 points. 9 points now will give us 87 points which should be enough for top 2, maybe not top spot - but top 2. Stop panicking!
  8. So when does the match against Barca kick off?
  9. They're now losing 3-1 though, was good whilst it lasted.
  10. Let's just calm down a bit. Long way to go.
  11. What a great worse case scenario that is!
  12. Love it. This ''TV'' jinx **** is doing my nut in too. Good correction there!
  13. I still don't understand attitudes towards this game. It's being built up like we're playing Barcelona or something. And even if we do lose it, the wheels haven't and won't come off. We will need to go on a run off form that was worse than January to fail. That's how close we are, in many ways we've 'bought' ourselves a bad result based on our terrific run of form recently. Whatever happens this weekend, nothing is defined. This match is being needlessly built up.
  14. His views are clouded by the fact that he doesn't like Cortese. Simple. Ignore anything he says is my advise because it's not reasoned. I keep seeing this from lots of people ''Southampton spending money they don't have, spending above their means''. Surely spending money we didn't have would mean that the £33m wasn't converted into shares? I'm sure Chelsa and Man City spent alot of money they didn't have to get to their level, but in reality it's never been a worry because they know they have a solid base. Comparing us to the Skates and their financial mess up is a bit of a joke, and if we did have the money from our investors frozen we would need to cut down a bit - so would city, chelsea etc etc... If you want success you need to spend, and sometimes that requires a little bit of investment from the owners. What's wrong with that? People seeing this in a completely wrong light as usual.
  15. IMO these articles are planted to try and destabilise the club at an important time of the season. Similar happened last year if you remember. There are some very bitter people behind the scenes who feel the club owes them for some reason and they have not taken kindly to being locked out my Cortese. I think NC referred to ''dark forces'' in the background on a few occasions.
  16. My favourite part of that interview.... "I remember the first day Nigel Adkins came down here and he was so impressed with our facilities, but I just said to him wait until you see what we're really going to do here. "It's also true that the first moment that I stepped out here and even before we even bought the club, Markus and I said we were going to build some new facilities. Our temporary facilities are deemed good enough by the FA who thought they were the finished buildings, so we had already improved things, but this work is going to be the masterpiece."
  17. Not sure why we ever had so much of a hatred against him. Was it because he said something slightly negative on his departure from the club...? It didn't really happen for him here, that's all he was getting at. The partnership between him and Beattie never took off, and where we were when he came to where we were when he left speaks volumes. It wasn't a happy club to play for with the shoddy managers we had going through the door. He's a goal scorer though. Right place, right time - he'll always popup. 16 goals this year I think and he's 38/39? Pretty impressive to say the least.
  18. That's rubbish though. He wasn't, he was part of the reason we were solid at the start of the year. I'm baffled by peoples views on him based from the start of the season. In L1 he was questionable at times, but the start of this season was the best he's ever played for us - so why on earth that's being held against him is beyond me.
  19. Theres an 8min video on SaintsPlayer if anyone has access to it. The drive from Cortese is so noticeable though, this is going to be one hell of a facility when it's finished. Very exciting.
  20. Maths has never been my strongest point
  21. I want QPR to drop, they've done it all wrong and their panic buying in January made me cringe at times. It doesn't work. Wigan - because they do my head in. Such a boring team who offer nothing, no fans, no support and they lose most weeks. They really shouldn't be playing at this level and it's amazing that they still are. Wolves will go because their board cocked up, and sacked a proven manager with no plan a, or plan b. They deserve to drop. I'd expec to see us (obviously!) WHU and Blackpool in the prem next year.
  22. Win this, and the other 2 drop points playing eachother and we're as good as there IMO.
