  1. They will drop points before the end of the season. They are currently winning games they 'should' be winning.
  2. tbf both are totally different types of players, and both clearly had different instructions of how to play. Guly sort of came in field more and did retain the ball in the first half, but was awful in the 2nd - totally lost his way.
  3. I'd have prefered us to be 37 points behind them, with reading pegged back.
  4. That's the problem. When teams do that we seem to be stuck.
  5. Lee's done nothing wrong, he should keep his place. Sharp offered zilch when he came on.
  6. Frustrating result. We never ever had complete control of the game as Ipswich did what Listener and Bristol City did this year....got tight, closed us down, and didn't allow us to pass out from the back. Worryingly when teams deploy that tactic we have little answer to it (although we almost did tbf!) De Ridder came on and gave us that spark we were missing, someone to run at a player and beat them. I thought Guly was poor, didn't offer anything what so ever and Harding was just abysmal tbh. He's not good enough for us anymore and I don't think it's a coincidence that we dropped lots of points the last time he was in the team. He's been terrific for us but I think we've passed him by. I hope Fox is fit soon as I'd worry if we have to play Harding for the majority of the games as he looks a little dodgy to say the least. Ipswich looked confident and always posed a threat - so it was no surprise when they equalized, and also no surprise at which side it came from. Onto the next one. If you'd have given me 4 points from Leeds and Ipswich last Friday I'd have taken it - it's just the way round it's happened which makes it all the more frustrating!
  7. We'll probably try for Rooney then!!
  8. the co-commentator on this game does my flaming head in.
  9. Cardiff look atrocious. Can't believe we feared them at one stage!
  10. They paid £16m to release him from Porto. Madness.
  11. Nigel was quite coy on it, as usual, but he mentioned he had a groin strain. I guess it depends how severe that strain is, but he looked to be struggling off the pitch so I don't think it's going to be a quick one. I agree it's a blow as well. Our full-backs are vital to the way we play and Harding has been caught out at the top end of this league. He's a decent player and has contributed alot to us since he's been here, but I think as a club we're now passing him by.

    Snodgrass

Simple way of looking at it. I'm sure I read fans saying exactly the same (we need lots of new players if we are to compete in the championship) after we drew with Walsall last year. I expect the basis and spine of this team to stay with us in the premership, but would expect a few additions. Similar to what Norwich have done.
  13. There's no way I'd start with the same 11. That starting 11 were horrific int he first half yesterday and players like Hammond have to start on Tuesday. I'd pull Cork out of the firing line and replace him with Hammond, and also drop Puncheon who I thought was flaming awful. Lallana 'should' be back.
  14. It feels more and more like one of those iconic days in a season that you look back on in years gone by and say ''I was there''. The atmosphere, the fans, the videos, the pictures, and of course the way the game panned out. An heroic day on all fronts!
  15. Tonight he was excellent, and he was our midfield in the first half. His game has come on so much and he is such a classly elegant midfield player now - with the addeded strength and tenacity to make him a real hit in the english game. I would not be suprised if some big clubs start looking at him, I think he's that good.
  16. He also needs to go onto the forum banner.
  17. To be honest, I thought at times our defending was all over the show. We didn't deal with Bechio all game and he kind of dictated our centre backs. Kelvin got everyone out of jail.
  18. Kelvin is the winner, by 100% hopefully
  19. What are your grips with him? What did you expect him to say? Leeds were terrific and they absolutely battered us. Fonte's 'handball' could have been given, and I've seen them given. They gave us the kicking, we didn't get near them all game. We were **** today, and they were terrific - so stop looking for praise, because only Davis and Lambo deserve praise (and he gave them that to be fair)
  20. I think after our result, we're going to have teams worried. And it's all down the timing of the run. They have peaked too soon IMO.
  21. Just sensational. No other words for it. His best ever game for us by a country mile.
  22. I can't quite believe we won that. First half we were shambolic and clueless, yet somehow went in 1-0 up. 2nd half we still weren't' great but had more shape to us, as Puncheon was just all over the show in the first half. Kelvin Davis - take a bow. Unreal performance. As that 2nd half went on though you could see the resolve and spirit of this group come to the fore. These guys have been to Wembley and won, they've been prooted the season before. Winning is in their blood, and you can tell how hungry they all are for it. This performance and result reminds me of when we played Reading at home, 5 or 6 years ago. We totally and utterly battered them but they stood firm and didn't conceed - they won the league that year, and seeing this sort of result out against the odds fills everyone with belief. A truly momentous result and other teams will look at that and just wonder what they will have to do.
  23. Morgan to come off? why? He's been our midfield single handily.
  24. and when they are in his face. He wants too much time tonight, and the Leeds players are about 5 seconds faster in speed and thought. He's a passenger.
