  1. It's a 3 horse race, Birmingham will not get involved. The plus for them is that they are going into the playoffs with momentum, I fear for anyone who has to play them.
  2. The team is full of leaders. Fonte, Dean, Lambert, Kelvin - even morgan to a degree, they've all been captain at some stage and they're all leaders on and off the pitch. We do not lack leaders.
  3. If we stagger over the line I couldn't give a ****ing ****, as long as we do it - which we will. Have some balls because you are such a bloody bedwetter, the worst guy to have around when you want some support. If you thought that the title would have been sewn up early on then you continue to show your complete lack of knowledge in regards to football, whenever is it that simple? There will still be twists and turns, but at the moment we are still in pole position. To say we don't do the big occasion is utter moronic. This team has been up for the big occasion in the last 3 seasons, and they will come over the line in the end. Show some guts and actually support them over the line.
  4. Snodgrass is a wide player......
  5. Pretty much spot on. We always get threads like this after we fail to win a couple of games. In an ideal world we need a midfielder who can get his foot on the ball and move forwards. Simple as that. Morgan gave us the composure, but didn't get forward a great deal.
  6. Have a word with yourself trousers! Letting us all down...
  7. People quite often mis-read Hammonds role, he's not in the team to do anything special. He's in there to be tenacious, keep the shape and lead the midfield. I felt he put in alot of effort yesterday and was very tenacious in his play, along with Cork. The problem is that they're both quite similar and neither of them got their foot on the ball like they can, we just missed Morgan's composure. I don't think Hammond will be a regular in the premiership, but he'll still be a squad player for us and would still do a job.
  8. Not sure if he was ever injured, he just hasn't been great for us. His performance in the first half against Leeds is still fresh in my memory, he was absolutely useless. Much more useless than Guly has ever been, and I don't think he's been in the team since then. A shame really as I thought he'd take his chance, but for some reason he doesn't 'fit' here.

He's obviously not showing much in training, or I'm sure he'd have been a sub before De Ridder.
  10. It's not really key. We could drop points here then win against Boro and Reading. At the end of the day we need around 7 points, we have 15 available.

He didn't play well yesterday, but does anyone remember a moment in the game (around 20mins I think) where he took a great touch, and flicked the ball up and over his head...it didn't quite come off, but it was a great attempt. What happens? He gets jeered and heckled. If Lallana tries an outrageous bit of skill like that, and fails, he's applauded. This is the difference. He didn't play well, but who could against the back drop of vile abuse? I heard some horrendous things directed at him yesterday that I'm not even going to bother to repeat. This season has been amazing and I personally don't think anyone deserves to be a scapegoat this year, they've all performed - but for some reason we seem to want to find one, and boy have we got one here. He will hear the jeering, but I hope he doesn't hear some of the comments I hear. The celebrating when he was being subbed yesterday was uncalled for too. Get a grip guys.
  12. He's one of the better skate managers in recent years, f'sure.
  13. People's moods have been affected too much by WHU's result, all of a sudden, because they beat a truly pathetically inept Barnsley (most L2 teams would have thumped them on that display), they are world beaters and we are now 'in trouble'. The fact is and to put it into some perspective, they went into the game after being thumped by Reading and dropping points all over the place. A 4-0 win does not make you world beaters again, they still have their weaknesses and Birmingham are dangerous opposition for them. We're still 4pts ahead of them btw, and I still would say that it will take an almighty ****up by us to finish below them. 4 points doesn't sound much, but to cut that deficit and finish above us in 5 games is some ask - we're still going to be picking up results.
  14. Come on, grow a pair. It was never going to be plain sailing in this run in. Lots of more twists and turns. Don't give up now.

He didn't have a good one today, unfortunately. He's still one of the best LB's in this league though, that's why he keeps his place in the team. When he's out and Harding plays you appreciate how good he actually is.
  16. Absolutely. 4 games in 14 days. Lots of twits and turns, but a very quick turn around so we can rectify mistakes very quickly - and punish other teams slip ups. This period will really test all 3 squads.

We were worse, IMO. I don't think we know how to use SDR properly, although he isn't making the right runs for me. I'm not sure if he's being told to hold back or not, but there was a moment in the 2nd half where he had yards in front of him - but he stood still and didn't run into that space, so Richardson was forced to go infield. You can moan about people not giving him the ball, but if he's not making the space and getting into the space then he's a pretty big passenger in the team.
  18. Now you're being silly, come on. He didn't have a great game but you're picking on stupid things to make a point. At the end of the day, if we remember, in the first 2 mins Morgan was very sloppy and gave the ball away. He then had to give away a free kick in order to stop the player running through - so you could go back to then and say actually, it was his own fault he was injured(!)!)!. But I won't do that, because it would be stupid.
  19. I tell you what, you wouldn't want to be down in the trenches with him. Mainly because he'd have flooded it with his constant bed wetting.
  20. I think there will still be twists and turns, but we have a chance to rectify mistakes very quickly. We now have 4 fixtures in 14 days. This time in 2 weeks we'd have played our 45th game and we'll know a hell of a lot more. I reckon if we pick up a couple of wins and a draw in the next 4 games then it will be going to the last game and that is in our favour. Reading are away at Birmingham, WHU are at home to Hull and we play a (probably) relegated Coventry city at home. As frustrating as todays result is, let's not take our eyes off the bigger picture. The next 2 weeks are huge and with 4 fixtures crammed into such a short space of time, alot can and will change. Nothing is decided yet.
  21. But we haven't got the players available to rest him, if he can get through the game with an injection then he'll play.
  22. Clearly very low on confidence, which is why he did that. I really don't rate him though personally, he never does seems to do much. (although we didn't get the ball to him enough today)
  23. He didn't do a great deal, but he never really gets given the ball. He's totally low on confidence though, you can tell - he was a right bubbly character at the start of the year, but he looks pretty rubbish these days. Why is he a muppet though?

Singling him out for the first goal today is just stupid. Get a grip.
  25. Morgan won't be back this season, would put him as a doubt for the start of next year based on how Nigel was talking about it. That is as big a blow as any. Some people don't appreciate him, but we have no composure in the middle of the park without him. Cork and Hammond played ok today, alot of tenacity and effort...but very little composure from either of them, that was the main problem. We lacked a central midfield player to just take a touch, stop the ball and move it on. We will miss him enormously.
