  1. Seriously, what a boring club Celtic is to support, or any scottish club really. a 2 horse race every year, never changes. a couple of minutes of European football before they're knocked out by a random eastern European team. What is there to be excited about up there...? Wouldn't blame Hooper for wanting to move to have a bit more fun in his career.
  2. Jones will not drop down and isn't even on our radar.
  3. He could just about last 20 seconds in the pace of this league.

  5. It would still be rejected. Under no situations, unless we bid around 8-10m, will they sell in January. That's the problem we have at the mo, with us these days we never ever overpay for a player. We only ever pay or bid what we feel that player is worth, if the club want more we turn away. In January that will be hard as players are so important to the clubs rest of the season ambitions, so their prices will be inflated. We are trying but if we want this major signing we may need to pay over the odds just once.....not sure NC is the type of guy to do that though! Which is sensible...but sometimes you just need to throw the dice and gamble.
  6. We did try, but it was always going to be rebuffed. We need to spend silly silly money to bring him here, as that's all Celtic will listen to. He's very important to them and the player himself is very happy at Celtic. We'd have to overpay for him which I don't think we'll do.
  7. Dickson is a left back, and not a great one at that. So I wouldn't like to play him at RB. We have Jack Stpehens too, who's a really good young player (was a first teamer for plymouth too before we got him). We also hae Cork, who in emergency, can do a job there. I don't think Frasers injury is anything massive to worry about that.
  8. Didn't think we'd stand much chance of getting Hooper, they don't want to loose him and he's pretty happy up there.
  9. The problem I have with you Alpine isn't your opinion as such, everyone is entitled to it, it's the way you manipulate your opinion with trivial fiction and turn them into facts. I.E someone says the club is for sale, so you'll then try and include this point in any justification for negativity in the future. Another way you try to justify your opinion is to talk like you have an ear on the inside. i.e - ''they're not doing anything, they've got their fingers up their areses''. If you knew that, fair enough, but as you don't then using that to backup an opinion is what gets on peoples tits. No one is happy with the recent form, but surely you can see why people latch on to you during times like this? You seem to thrive and grow on the negativity and become this tedious stream of made up crap.
  10. Fans were starting on W-P? what the hell.
  11. The penalty shoot out in the Playoff game v Derby, it just felt like fate. Horrible feeling, compounded by most of us realsing that we'd lost our best shot at it for years.
  12. I think we only went in for Reid, but Spurs came in with a £6m bid for the pair and that was that.
  13. They're skint mate. Donny fans know that they will not see a penny of the money no matter what the fee is. The system they are utilizing at the moment (signing lots of high profile players and getting parent clubs to pay the % of the wages) is working for them. The agreement is that they put these players in the shop window and recoup a fee in 18months or so to help the club financially.
  14. I bet it took alot of begging for Rupes to free up that £4m!
  15. Yeah, definitely said every chance which is why all our ears poked up at it....sounded like we're going to be pretty active whatever though.
  16. It's better than the days of Will Cope and Jimmy Case.
  17. His actually said.. ''We might make a small signing, a loan signing but there's every chance we'll make a major signing. We want to make sure we make the best of the opportunity and get prompted to the premier league'' The main thing for me is how driven and motivated he is to make the best of the opertunity we are in. He doesn't want all our hard work in the first half of the season to go down the pan because we don't have the depth, he said he wants to add real quality to the team to make sure we are promoted. I think we're going for it to be honest. Could be similar to the January window under Pardew a few years back, possibly not as many additions, but I reckon we'll see a signing that many don't expect.
  18. He's got Chaplow, Hammond, Cork and Morgan in front of him. So not much chance unless we have lots of injuries. The cup is his best opportunity to make an impact and he is making an impact. He'll be a big player for us though in the future, no doubts about that.
  19. Why would it reflect badly on NA? Pardew didn't rate him either. He is too injury prone and is not good enough for us, he's lost a yard or 2 as well. We're targeting players leagues better than him now.
  20. Chaplow is probably 50/50 for the Leicester game, if he doesn't tweek himself again! Fonte should be back for Forest and Jaidi is back training, but I doubt we'll see him near the squad as Martin has kicked on now.
  21. Not old enough to have been around for Keegan!
  22. For anyone who didn't hear the interview at the time: http://audioboo.fm/boos/615004
  23. To be honest, only Leicester would do that.
  24. Seems to be some mixed messages over this. The Donny chairman said that it was £3m, yet talk sport and various other sources mention 1.8-£2m. Weird. Maybe they're paying that fee up front, with installments making up the 3m?
