He makes some good points and is in a better position than any of us to make those points. It's what a co-commentators job is.
-
It doesn't sound great tbf, only one team going for the 2nd goal as it stands and it aint us. We need to get some confidence back today really, as Cov's team really isn't any great shakes - let's be honest.
-
1-0 coventry, it had been coming truly shocking start.
-
Two chances for coventry so far, as we're caught at the back.
-
Must have another knock, which wouldn't surprise me. Always seems to go like this with him, gets a spell of games, gets an injury....and then for the rest of the season he's just stop start.
-
That was more the Italian FA holding back providing international clearance, for whatever reason. Weird delays on those 2.

Cov team: Coventry City: Dunn, Keogh ©, Cranie, Wood, Christie, Baker, Thomas, Bigirimana, Deegan, McSheffrey, O'Donovan Subs: Murphy (GK), McPake, Hussey, Jeffers, Ruffels, Clarke

I'd be surprised. The club have been tracking this player for around 10 months. They wouldn't have got this far down the line without investigating and researching any potential work permit situation, they've offered him terms and the club the fee...all pending the work permit, which as i said and as I've been told is a formality.

But a pretty insulting bid, 250-300k. -
Not a bad team really, quite like the position W-P seems to be playing in.
-
Puncheon to a degree, was quality with us for his first few months. Seaborne too, was a decent player to have around the place.
-
From what I've been told it's just a formality, just a rubber stamp job.
-
He has signed pending the work permit being approved, the interview for this is next week.
-
I think it's a move he had to make, he would have just stagnated here. It's good that he's getting the games and has progressed, you could see he had talent when he made his debut against PNE years ago. He has a real presence about him.

27! Amazing. (all comps i think that is, but 25 league)
-
I loved the chart they put up at the start of the Hudders game. Showed the top goal scorers across all the leagues...Rhodes top obviously, but Lambo was in there too, in amongst rooney, Deba Ba etc.

There are players we're interested in that haven't been speculated yet. -

Who is BPL? just a random twitter feed, or is it part of a local paper etc? Would be a cracking option though. Bags of pace. -
Alps, really, come on. Your barking up the wrong tree here and you're making yourself look more silly trying to justify yourself.
-
It might not continue until then, they might come to an agreement tomorrow for all we know. At the end of the day we don't know. All we can be sure of, and what is a fact, is that we are actively pursing numerous players.
-
Exactly...you get it. We're not targeting rejects anymore, we're targeting first choice players that clubs don't really want to let go. and we don't want to pay over the odds, so it becomes a negotiating situation.
-
I think alot of it is just bemusement. The fact that we threw away the Bale clauses and signed a guy on a 5 year deal that cannot get in a blue square south team. Frightening really. Even when we signed him Malcolm Webster was totally against it as he thought he was ****, and that's one of the reasons he was shown the door.
-
I'd be very surprised if the targets weren't known or identified well in advance, very surprised. Again, you don't know that they haven't identified anyone before hand so you can't say that really. If you have evidence to say that they haven't, then fair enough. Anyway, Lee for e.g has been a target for a year. If that shows you anything it's that we plan and vet our signings very well, they're not just panic buys...I'd rather fill my squad up with players that have been heavily scouted, researched and worked on, rather than rush signings that were identified and purchased in a couple of days. If anything, taking the time and attention in identifying the right targets should help the bedding in process and all in honestly, eliminate it. I don't really think that'll be an issue.
-
Nah the season after...we still have him for a year after this. His contract is up 2013.
-
You can't just sign a player in a day or a couple of days. We don't need much, we need specifics and clubs aren't massively keen to let you have their best players incase you didn't know. if you think that you're living in football manager land and don't understand football or how it works. That seems to be quite a reoccurring theme with your posts.
