Exactly, that as well. We'll score more and more goals like this as long as we keep playing as we are. No one can contain us at the mo.
-
Possibly brums manager, or Palace's manager - they've done amazing things with such a small squad. Totally un-fancied to be anywhere near at the start.
-
Chaplow for me without question. Guly and Lambo come close, who were both excellent up front. But probably for the same reasons as everyone else, Chaplow gets it because he's at the top of his game right now. Probably playing as well as he ever has.

In terms of total football, it was sublime. Credit to lambo with that skill to make the space in the penalty box, and he had the awareness to pickout Conners who finished as you'd expect. To be honest, we're scoring goals of this quality, or coming close, on a regular basis these days. If Chappers finish had gone in against Watford I think? That would have been stunning.

Boro didn't turn up in all honesty, and if you don't turn up at St Mary's these days you will get absolutely tonked - which they were. I was amazed at how straight forward that win was, Boro huffed and puffed a little in the 2nd half but didn't have any punch about them. Emnes looks like he's used all his goals up in the first few weeks of the season, but we did very well to marshal him as we did. Chappers was again absolutely everywhere, box to box, right to left, left to right...he's just incredible at the moment and has to be one of the guaranteed names on that team sheet right now. Guly showed what a good player he is up top - his movement was excellent and he made some terrific runs. His first goal was such a good header, the keeper had no chance with that - he's adjusted to life at this level with ease, as most of the team has. I thought they couldn't handle Lambo at all, he won so much in the air and they didn't know how to deal with him - he was causing them all sorts of problems. It's just a shame that he's waited this long to play at this level, he's been wasted in L1/L2 over the last few years. Great to see Lallana back, but you could tell he's still not 100%. He'll get back in the groove after some games, but he didn't do much of note today. Thought Butters was terrific, we're very lucky to have 2 evenly matched right backs at this club. In fact we have quality throughout it - the subs aren't ''reserve'' players for us, they're all impact players who can all play a part and change a game. It's been a long time since we've had a squad of players like this.

cheers.

I'm happy with Guly starting up top, he can be a bit frustrating but he has so much ability on the ball - this either means 2 things IMO....De Ridder starts on the right, or Chappers moves to the right and Lallana is back in at the left.

It would be great, but It won't happen because you'll get the usual guys who never watch a game live, moaning and beetling that they hold more of a valid opinion than the people who have been going for the last 9 months etc.

These kind of threads tempt fate...

They want to be the voice of the fans, along with Illinsgworth. These guys are so out of touch with the fan base it's untrue and pretty embarrassing when they flaunt themselves on national radio.
-
They want airtime. They're the sort that want the debates, the fans forums, the fan-led protests. Without this they feel alone and empty, so they have to stir it in other ways. Fact.

Forte. Needs more playing time, or just not good enough?

Totally agree. I know who I'd rather have in the squad! Don't think he has a future here after last nights showing. -
Yep, thankfully.

We've not had many wins away, but to be fair we've been picking up points and winning at home, which is automatic promotion form anyway. We'll still get our fair share of away wins, we've just had some very tricky ones to contend with over the last month. -

This post has totally confused me. -
You're getting pretty embarrassing. I'm cringing for you as it's so obvious as to what you're trying to do. You're not good at it.
-
Totally agree with you......

I think we've had our moneys worth from him, the goals v MK Dons. I think he'll drift away now, I don't think he's taken his chances at all when he's had them this year. Certainly no where near good enough for a decent championship team. -
It was quite clear we'd be playing other players within the squad, anyone who assumed we wouldn't was a bit naive.

It's a tricky call. If we played our first team tonight, won it, draw Man City away in the quarters....then lost on Saturday and drew next Tuesday.........and dropped out of the top 2. then I know what I'd be prioritizing to be honest... -
Nah probably not, we've given it a good go tbf and it sounds like Ward-Prowse hasn't looked out of place. 6 points from our next 2 home games is much more important.
-
game over. our away form is pretty **** tbf!
-
penalty palace, game over.
-
Not full strength in attack, but at the back and with Ambrose in the middle they're pretty well stocked with experienced campaigners.
-
I reckon we'll all be pleasantly surprised.
