I have to agree re: the flag. How that's been handled is **** poor. The fans stonked up the cash, organized it to be built, we hand it over to the club and that's it. They ignore any queries about it and it hasn't been seen since. That's a load of **** tbh.

Isn't he a CM? Chelsea would only let him go if he was going to get regular football. Doubt he'd be more than a sub here at the moment.
-
Nope, it came across exactly the same to me... The approach came from Seagulls chairman Tony Bloom's brother Darren, who spoke to Cork's dad - former Wimbledon star Alan. "I had a quiet chat with Darren," Oh well, at least we got him!
-
A pacey front man, who could also provide cover down the flanks. Sordell has played on the flanks before as one example. and Jos signed up. That's pretty much all I'd do.

Apparently opened talks over permanant Hooiveld deal
S-Clarke replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
People said the same last year, in that we'll need to replace our defense and Rickie etc should we compete in the championship. When we get promoted we'll add 3 or 4 top quality players to enhance what we already have. There will not be any major surgery as that would be seriously detrimental to how well we're playing at the moment. It's all about team spirit and continuity - and you will not retain that by replacing the entire squad. In fact I'd say we'd probably do worse. -
Vokes is probably a decent enough player, but I feel that people are sticking up for him and saying we need him because he's a saints fan. We should only be targeting players that are better than what we have, with a view to playing premiership football. Vokes is no where near Premiership quality, and I've watched him a fair few times.

This one's concourse to being close to a sell out. Nearly 30k sold already.

I think Celtic paid a fee just over £2m, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking to recoup a good % of that - given how good he's been for us. £2m wouldn't be far off the mark IMO. -
I expect we're targeting players much better than him now.

Our fishy neighbours trying to emulate our plan?

It's what all clubs at this level try to convey to the fans that all is rosey, when in reality they have no hope in hell of ever mounting a challenge. Let's all remember Coventry's ''operation premiership'' - which is apparently still on-going. -
Let's hope their injuries are still as bad when we play them. They had to play their 39 year old assistant manager today - they still won 2-0 though tbf.
-
Because we have a real team of players who have won most weeks for the past 2 years. It's engrained in them.
-
Exactly, you can quite clearly see the difference in his play now, than when we first signed him. He's much more disciplined in a defensive role, before he used to just bomb forward and leave a gaping hole behind him for the other team to exploit. Now his defensive duties come first, which is exactly how it should be. Another case of our coaches making a player even better..

Dowie was singing his praises on soccer Saturday, and saying that he delivered a ''world class cross'' for Gulys goal. Coventry fans even have a thread on their forum about that cross!
-
I don't think he's what we particularly need up front. We need pace.
-
wow, we're even getting mentioned in the continuity announcements before MOTD. We're back!
-
Very true, they have some decent young lads there who aren't really going to progress playing where they are at the mo. Drop down a league, win some games and their quality will come out. Unless a multimillionaire buys them and splashes big money at it, the best bit is for them to start again in L1.
-
Even more impressive is our points haul of 36 from a possible 48. Astonishing.
-
Why on earth do you think we need another CM? We have 4 top quality championship CM's, that's one area we don't need to touch. CB and CF agreed.
-
I don't think we should rest on our laurels. What we're doing at the moment and where we are in the league is absolutely stunning and beyond anyone's expectations. So let's not let this enormous opportunity slip away. January is a perfect opportunity to grab a reinforcement in a couple of positions. Who knows what could happen in the 2nd half of the season? A top 6 finish would still be fantastic....but why not grab this opportunity with both hands to win this league? We may never be in such a strong position again - I think we've got a great chance with an extra striker and CB added to the squad.
-
They've prob given up after finishing bottom half in the championship for 10 seasons in a row. What a boring club to support over the last decade.
-
We've been top of the league since the 18th of September. Amazing.
-
oh and another thing...we've won at the flaming Richo!
-
I think everyone we've played have said this. Good to hear - we're not just luckily snatching results, we're comprehensively winning games.

(our GD is quality too for this stage of the season!!!) If Boro lose, we can be 9 pts ahead of 3rd place.
