Really good stuff from us. I missed the start so didn't see the goal we conceded, but from what I've watched it's relentless. Chance after chance, some beuaitful football and a couple of fantastic saves from their GK. They are literately hanging on and defending for their lives at times. If we keep this up and our fitness shows, we'll get something out of this game for sure.

Seriously, find another sport to follow as football clearly gives you no enjoyment.
-
It doesn't suit his agenda though mate, so he has to find a way to counteract it.

I've not said it's just another of those days, i've not said we've had bad luck. I've just said we're playing well, 42mins into the game. Sorry if that offended you. ****.
-
What the **** are you on about? How am i clueless? I can see we're playing well, sorry that does not suit your agenda. If we keep playing like this we'll get at least a goal. You're not watching or listening to the game, so there is no way you can put any input into this thread other than your tedious attention-seeking drivel.

another good chance there, free kick blocked - fell to chappers, who put it over. This is utterly ridiculous pressure from us. Just relentless.
-
Agreed, totally battering them without scoring at the mo. It will come if we keep this up.
-
I'm watching the game, I can see we're playing well. You're probably not, so your opinion does not count.
-
how the feck have we not equalized, this is relentless from us. Awesome performance bar the goal.
-
We're playing pretty well to be fair.
-
They're leading already.
-
They're still as deluded as ever then. Good to hear.
-
I would imagine it's a diamond. Guly at the tip of it, Morgan sitting with Cork left side central, and Chappers right side central. Get the full backs to bomb on, which both are great at doing, and it could work well.

Good to see Conners back!

Gutted for Holmes to be honest. I can't see him having much of a career anymore in the top leagues anymore, he just cannot stay fit for more than a couple of games. He'll drift to the lower leagues after this year unfortunately, frustrating as he is decent when he's fit - but he just isn't ever fit. Lallana is a blow, losing him will make us so much weaker, there's no other way to dress that up. Teams don't look better because their best player is out...so we'll do well to still be in the top 2 after the next few games. We do have cover...but no ''Lallana'' - he's the guy that dictates how we play, opens teams up, attacks players etc. We do not have anyone else that can do that which is a bit worrying, but there isn't really anyone of that level who'd be happy to be backup if lallana does get injured...
-
I don't get your point..? We can bring in backups if we want.
-
Attention seeking comes to mind.
-
He'd never play! He's a CM.

Cool - in that case.. Have a look at some of the netgear RangeMax wireless-n devices, I have one here (it's just a WAP, not a router) and it's fantastic - I get full 300mbps upstairs via wireless, and around 100-200mbps downstairs, and when i was with Virgin and it worked...I used to get full 50mbps internet connectivity as far as the patio.. It's not bad at all.
-
I don't know if you can use your own devices...yet. When i was with them they'd locked it down so you could only use their device as the router/modem - but they were planning on rolling out an upgrade which allowed you to operate the notsosuperhub in bridged mode, enabling another router behind it etc. Not sure if this has happened yet...as I left them because I was having the same issues as you. I've gone to ADSL, 7mb...but I get 7mb, always, and whatever time of the day.
-
I guess we'll get the same sort of threads if we get promoted again ''We need 50m to replace the entire team'' just as we needed to do this summer, apparently. Have faith in what we have here - it's more than good enough, and with one or 2 tweaks is more than good enough to compete with the dross such as Blackburn and Wigan for e.g. Steady progress is the name of the game, I don't think we'll ever go out and spend 40/50m in a single transfer window.

Derby had a start similar to this last year, then faded away from October onwards and ended up scrapping towards the bottom. Wouldn't surprise me if this year is the same, as they don't have a huge squad at all. I reckon we'll be able to give them a good game. But this month is a toughy, easily our toughest month so far. If we come out if this still in the top 2 then I will start to honestly believe we're the real thing.

Saints - Probably the least amount of column inches of any top team ever!
S-Clarke replied to theyin's topic in The Saints
I don't get everyones obsession with us having to be in the media, left right and centre ''Southampton are amazing!'' ''Best team in the league!!'' I know it's nice to read sometimes...but we have had some great write ups this year, why should they focus any more attention on us....? -
Watch Boro slip away now....just in time for us to play them.

Pleased for Best, always felt he had ''something'' but our management under him was utter ****e, so we'd have never found it. Did well at Cov and has developed into a pretty handy CF at premiership level. Good to credit the quality of the coaches for that to be honest...
