  1. Sellés on the fans: “We need support from them in the situations, particularly when there is nothing happening in the game. They have their opinion & voice & they can express it in any way they want. I just want them to get behind us.” #saintsfc I really wish they'd stop saying this shit, trying to make us as culpable as this bunch of cretins. We have paid money for years to watch shit, this isn't just an afternoon of shit at St Mary's, this is 5 years of utter consistent shit. I'm surprised we even get over 1k in the stands. They should be grateful for that, now STFU and start actually making an effort you bunch of twats.
  2. With all these City kids and the Shields connection, it does make me wonder if there are some other bits of $$$ in the mix here which benefits others. Doesn't make any sense as they've not added to us from a footballing point of view. Edozie, Larios, Bazunu are still U21 payers yet we felt it was sensible to make them PL first team players. At least we got experience like Aribo in the summer to make all the difference though.
  3. I think he's given his all, he's always 100% and covering every blade of grass - but he is limited and that's why taking away Romeu has exposed him so much physically. There is something wrong with his makeup though, given that he's still here with our record of selling anyone who breathes probably tells you other clubs think the same.
  4. We do, but I think this club are deluded given the contract offers we've made to Theo, Moussa etc over the years. We seem to think these guys are decent. We don't have any balls about us, we're 'nice'. Don't need any of that shit this summer, rip contracts up, throw these guys to the job centre, don't give a shit - but we need ruthlessness, otherwise we will never see PL again in many of our lifetimes. I don't give a shit if they're nice guys or not, the bottom line is that as footballers they are horrific and should not be near professional teams.
  5. 2 from Leeds, Everton, Forest and Leicester to round the relegation off I think. Looking like being Forest and Leicester at this stage, although Everton are in the shit.
  6. All of them I hope.
  7. I'm excited about a fresh start in the summer, but equally nervous as fuck given that every decision that has been made in the last year has been the wrong one. Not just a little bit wrong either, catastrophically wrong. I can't even guess who they'd chose as a manager at this stage, and given the track record it's going to be wrong. I have no idea what to expect. But to say I'm apprehensive would be an understatement.

    Ruben Selles

We can blame Ralph, Jones, Selles, Eric Black etc etc, but there comes a point when you have to look at the bunch of utter losers they've had at their disposal. Bottle jobs the lot of them and I'd be happy to see them all dumped. If only we could sack players as we could managers, we'd probably be in a much better place.
  9. He doesn't seem capable of making saves tbh. Johnstone saved an effort from us in the 2nd half, whereas their attempts on target went straight in. He had potential when we got him I think, but it's hard to see him ever recover now. I think we've ruined him as a top level keeper by chucking him in like we did. In fact we've probably done the same with a few of those young kids we signed.
  10. I'm numb to it all now, it's been 5 years of turbo shit bar the odd non-descript purple patch. A fully deserved relegation and it should be confirmed in a few weeks, saves all the tension of the last games anyway. I'd be tempted to stick Ballard in there now, maybe even a couple of the other U21's - it's about next year now, as it has been for weeks really. I haven't disliked a bunch of players as much as I dislike this lot. Even JWP, for all his efforts with free kicks and such, has been a consistent loser with us since he's been a regular. It's at the stage now where we need a clean break with at least 80% of this lot, and the recruitment department as well - who have stolen a living for a number of years.
  11. The frustrating thing for me is that we tried to cheap out on the most important position, not just this summer but the summer before that as well. ST. When we sold Ings we needed to spend £30m on a new one, who had top flight experience (not necessarily PL, but a top league). Always hard to find another Ings, but when your one and only target is Adam Armstrong then you're doing it wrong. That's what's killed us, for sure we have flaws in other area's such as lack of depth in CM and poor wide options....but the lack of a proper striker just highlights those more than ever. We'd be getting by if we still had Ings, but never mind. Club made their bed.

    Ross Wilson

Not sure what clubs see in this guy. Forests transfer policy is already incredibly scattergun, so adding him to the mix is going to create a bit of a long-term issue for them.
  13. He has always had suitors. Leicester, Leeds, Everton have sniffed around him for a few years now. He will not be here next year. I think these clubs appreciate that whilst he's not a regular scorer, if you put him alongside a clinical goal scorer you can breath new life into your forward line and give yourself another dimension. Sadly we forgot to buy another clinical striker when we sold Ings, so we've been left with Adams trying to do a job of two - which he was never really fit for anyway.
  14. There was talk that they would look and pay off a chunk of it but I don't think that ever happened - just a refinance of the existing.
  15. Can't see 34 points being enough, it'll be 36-38 as per usual imo. That means we're going to need to get 15 out of 24 points, so we're going to need to get a win at one of Newcastle, Brighton, Arsenal (as well as win all the games we 'should' be winning). It'll be interesting seeing who goes down with us, but it's pretty much in the 90%s of probability that we're done I'd have thought. Teams in the low 20's points wise in mid-april do not survive.
  16. Looks like Dele Ali has announced his retirement from football. Honestly, what a waste of a player. Could have been one of the best. Dele Alli is pictured surrounded by laughing gas canisters with a balloon in his mouth | Daily Mail Online
  17. All I know is that there is one on the table for him, and it still is there - up to him to sign it, but he wanted to wait until the end of the season. I find it absolutely criminal that there is even an offer on the table tbh - whoever made that call needs dumping.
  18. Palace are a different kettle of fish though in the sense of the quality they have at their disposal. A seriously stronger squad than us and at a smaller outlay, so our recruitment is once again winning the day - not. It wouldn't take a great deal to lift them away with the threats they have in the final third. I think we were a bit of a lost cause for whoever managed us this year, although quite amazingly Jones did manage to make an impossible situation even worse.
  19. It'll be nice to see us win a game or two before we wave goodbye to this league, you'd hope this is one we have a a small chance in. I want to get to at least get to 30 points, so this is one we need to win. Palace will be dangerous on the break though, but as with Woy teams they will also be happy to sit in a low block and wait for the space. In all honesty one of the worst teams we can face, we don't have the creative intelligence to break down sitting teams and equally we don't have the pace to defend their powerful counters.
  20. I don't think we can afford to waste a year 'consolidating', it's next year or bust for us I reckon. Need to put all effort into a top 2 finish for next year.
  21. Carrick is an interesting shout, but I currently have very little confidence in anyone at this club to make the right call. This summer is our biggest ever, get this one as wrong as they did last year then some of us will never see PL football again.

    Potter

Hate to break it to you, but Brighton are currently on a slightly different planet to us, soon to be different league as well. I doubt it'll last, but they are currently much, much better than us.
  23. Not a Moi fan myself, but from an off the ball point of view he has his uses today, as he's a bit more disciplined than our other attackers. Not great mind you, as when we do get a random foray in their half we do need to have someone with the ability to create something!
  24. How can you say that? I can see in front of me, black and white, 5 extra points from arguably a tougher set of fixtures (Utd away, Chelsea home, Spurs home etc). Luck comes into it, but it's not as straight forward as that - you make your own luck. Not sure how anyone can say there has been no improvement, crazy view.
  25. These are the games we often look better in, mainly because they won't sit back and force us to play in front of them - there will be space to play in the final third, and because of that it will create the illusion that we look better than we actually are. (not that we'll do anything with that space, mind)
