  1. There were people questioning his ability when we won 4-1 and had a bad 30min patch in the middle. No manager has a chance with our fan base.

    Adkins

He hasn't been, but for an interesting view point he thought we'd look at our form after that game - seeing as the Mk Don's match is an unfair one to put on him anyway, it was still a Wlkins team and Wilkins selected the 11.
  3. So you just made a sweeping statement yourself, how do you know how many games i've been to? I have been to most games under adkins, not all away, but that's such a stupid post to make and I expect better from someone like you. FYI I don't have a season ticket because I couldn't afford the upfront payment, but I have been to every game anyway. That must make me a super duper fan!!!!! And what was wrong with my post anyway? It's totally true. For some reason certain people don't like to admit it. I like to look at results rather than performances by the way, and in results terms this is our first bad patch under him. We have bizarre fans.
  4. He went to the game, his post tallies up with the radio commentary. It's not excuses, it's an honest assessments from someone at the game. It's still a **** result, but that post isn't full of excuses. It just annoys me when people that haven't gone to games believe they have a stronger opinion over the ones that attended the match.
  5. Lots of draws mangled in with that though, no real winning runs. Their forum was a similar place on Saturday after they threw away a 2-0 lead at home to Leyton Orient. Funny old league.
  6. It's still early days, but I was a little disappointed we didn't go that extra mile to sign another striker. Hope we don't regret it.
  7. It was a gamble, we didn't have any option and we needed to win that game. Oxo has been nursing a hamstring injury which is why he didn't start, they were hoping to get around 20mins from him at the end, but he wasn't fit enough to play much tonight.
  8. Because he was injured.
  9. TBF they're both incapable of putting a long run together too. It's a mish mash of a league this year. The only team that have shown any real consistency is Brighton. The rest have been much of a muchness which does kind of indicate that it will go right down to the last few weeks.
  10. ah may have been, something like that anyway. Loved him.
  11. I miss him. "I sorry I ruined the party" is my favourite all-time t-shirt.
  12. I've got no concerns about him. He's a good manager, he's going through his first real bad patch with us. Our form has been top 2 for most of his time with us until the last few weeks. It's made to look worse because of our bad start under Wilkins and Co
  13. Oh well, my search for positives goes on.
  14. ffs, this really is a stupid thread. It is totally premature and isn't worth even thinking about at the moment.
  15. Because he was sad enough to part with his cash to do so.
  16. I'd go with Chap in the Chapel's view. Just one of those games.
  17. ah ok - didn't really know what tactics they deployed when he was brought on. Lots of lessons to be learned by the sounds of it. Was N'Guessan any good tonight btw?
  18. TBF I don't think there was another sub he could have made for Morgan, It's not like it was planned and it probably changed the entire tactical game plan that they worked on over the last few days.
  19. He didn't say, but I'm more worried about Morgan. Adkins said that it looks like a ''very serious'' knee injury.
  20. Don't be silly! Automatic promotion is looking less likely, but we will not finish outside of the top 6. Not.A.Chance. How we do in the playoffs is down to the fate of the gods.

    Adkins

I think at the time it was the wrong decision to get rid of Pardew, but then again - we don't really know what happened, it may have been a situation that gave Cortese no choice and it's totally derailed our season. If we don't go up it's down to our start, not Adkins. If we performed over the course of the season as we have since Adkins has been ''in the building'', we would have been much closer to Brighton. I don't think the blame can be labelled at his door in total, some of it - yes...but not all of it.
  22. +1. Then i'm off to ofcom to complain about Solents coverage.
  23. Exactly, but looking at it another way it'll make it even more epic if we do manage it.
  24. He said that if Guly and Forte had been available he wouldn't have been on the bench, but they weren't and they were also injured. Our squad is looking very stretched at the moment, who else could we have stuck on the bench instead of Oxo? At the end of the day he'd have been criticised for not selecting him as we lost, but then he's criticised for playing him because he's injured. One of those situations where the manager doesn't' win either way.
