Carter really struggled for PNE and their fans could not stand him, but i think that's got more to do with their situation rather than him as a player. He was always pretty highly rated when at Brum and was decent for WBA in our play-off season. He's too good for this level anyway, would be a good signing - but wouldn't want to see us pay over £1m for him.

Cortese has probably pulled the deal by now, seeing as it leaked out before it was offically annouced.

doubt he'll play though, he didn't feature too much for blackpool last season (maybe a bit at the start) His performances for us were shocking though, he never looked like a footballer during the games i watched.

you have a good first team, suprised you've managed to keep hold of Tudgay, Beevers, Potter etc - all v good players in the championship, so they will be very good at this level. What sort of depth do you have though if those players are injured?

Difference is that Vassell actually has some sort of ability, whereas Euell is a poor excuse for a footballer.

Tyson (possible), Lambert, Barnard, Connolly, Lallana, Puncheon compared with - Mellor, Tudguy, Heffernen, Morrison, Teale, Johnson tbf i think they're both very evenly matched attacking options. I still believe we have the slight edge because most of our lads have had a full season playing together.

That's what happens on the net, a site gets hold of a rumour and it trickles through the news sites. Wouldn't suprise me if this was put in the media as a high-profile curve ball, so we can secure who we really want without the media attention.

Who wouldn't want to be part of that? If he's reasonable with the wage requests, you never know. You'll get more fun and enjoyment here in the next couple of years, than you would get at a club like Bolton/Wigan/blackburn...IMO.

He's full of ability, but has the completley wrong attitude. If pard's can somehow get that right here, we will have a very good player

That's a blow, it is his knee isn't it? Could be even longer if he needs to have an op, which is possible.

a vid on tyson - a potential attack comprising of Lambo, Tyson, Lallana and Puncheon is frightening at championship level, let alone L1....and we would still have Barnard ,Connolly & oxo in reserve.

not sure, Pard's has played him in every game pre-season so he's taking a serious look at him by the sounds of things....+ his fitness is improving.
