  1. i want us to score over 100 league goals.
  2. He didn't play a single minute of football with Vale though, was on the bench once or twice but thats it. I expect him to turn up at a BSP team.
  3. Doctors play a part in the players medicals and also assist with injuries and rehab. It's all well and good saying ''well send them to A&E'' - but is that how top class clubs operate? nope. They have their own team taking care of their players.
  4. If Cortese left and took Markus's millions with him the people currently against him would be crying as we slip back down the leagues. What is there to be against in all honesty? He's making ruthless changes and is trying some radical things - all at the same time as maintaining a competitive team on the playing field. It's not time to be picking up on every single decision he makes, it's about looking forward to the future because it is going to be an exciting, albeit slightly bumpy ride.
  5. It will be called the Cortese Arena
  6. Unfortunately, you're not far from the mark. If the ''public'' stay for a certain time then they will be charged. No idea what the time will be though, i'd imagine it will be a couple of hours. And obviously staff will have to pay to park as well. That was the word from someone who still works at the club and obviously will be affected by the charges.
  7. I keep seeing mental comments from people sayign that if we don't sign anyone, then ''that's us in L1 until 2012 at least''. ''we're not good enough to get promoted'' Really? why? the only signing we'd make that would go straight into the side is a RB - the rest of our signings would be as cover which can be made at any point over the season. 2/3 signings should see us done. RB - CM - maybe a ST, other than that we don't want to upset the boat too much. Just because we're owned by a billionaire people seem to be stamping their feet as we're not signing lots of players for millions. The reality is that the majority of our squad is already too good for this league. Why change something that isn't broken?
  8. Schweinsteiger is the best player so far by an absolute mile, he just runs games for them - and he's primarily always operated as a winger! Klose has done what he does at every world cup, scores goals. David Villa has been excellent too, been at the heart of everything spain do and without him they would have struggled to get this far.
  9. He's always injured and won't play too much next year is my gussing.
  10. That's tipped me over the edge now, Cortese has to go.
  11. We don't need many players though, so they shouldn't need to gel. The majority of the side for next season will be what started last season.
  12. are half of your over-reacting posts necessary?
  13. we don't need too many new players, we will have RB a striker and probably a CM in before the start of the season. Transfer activity usually starts to get going mid-july time, the fact that the window is ''now'' open means sod all really. wait till the world cup has been over for a week or so, we'll then start seeing movement...panic when we get to the 1st of august with no signings.
  14. I've logged onto that website and it doesn't work, you update the info click on update and you get an access denied error message. nice to know it was tested before it was published!
  15. The only real class player to warrant the tag ''golden'' would be Beckham. The rest of the team are distinctly average and we just don't have the ability, until the FA start repairing grassroots football and get kids learning technique rather than kick and rush, it will always be the same.
  16. Personally i'd put Richards at RB, Glen Johnson is not good enough for international football. It's a scary sight though, where the hell is the quality coming through? gone are the days of the Scholes, Nevilles, Beckhams....and now we're having to rely on the likes of bloody Gareth Barry who is just average.
  17. He wasn't fit. Not just his ankle, but more so his mental fatigue. I just don't see the same Rooney as the eruros in 2004 though, he was running at players, beating them and leaving them in his wake and scoring some cracking goals. Is this another example of an english player that has peaked way too early?
  18. Quite easily our worst ever tournament, the fact that we suffered our biggest ever defeat in finals history says it all.
  19. Rumours going around that Chris Lines has signed.
  20. best goal of the world cup so far. what would the argies have done if they faced us? massacre!
  21. Even at their best they're still pretty average players, nothing special - not when compared to the likes of Mascherano, Schweinsteiger, Silva, Alonso etc... we really don't have many good players. All of our CM's are too slow and pedestrian.
  22. Get Roy Hodgson before liverpool get him. Or failing that, Gus Hiddink. A manager proven at the top level.
  23. Capello is undisputed at club level and his honours are up there with the best, but i think he's tried to bring his club management style onto the international scene and is too stubborn to change his way, and i think you need to. You cannot manage an international team the same as a club team, it doesn't work.
  24. wow, that was pathetic. The England media are as much to blame for the expectation as anyone, where are these world class players they keep bollocking on about? We don't have any. They are ''good'' club level players, when they are around the foreign players Lampard - Essien at Chelsea Terry and Carvhalo at chelsea.. gerrard and masch at liverpool.... the foreigners make our players look much better than they actually are. I'm not saying they're crap crap players, they're just not world class as the media keep boasting. an example of a proper international class player is David Beckham, and unfortunately we couldn't use him. Goals at world cups, euros, real madrid, ac milan... man utd. None of the current players in our team would get close to that sort of level. We're too slow at the back, Glen Johnson and Upson are not international players and never ever will be. They're there because we have no better, that's the crux of it. Yep the 2-2 should have stood, but that doesn't matter because we deserved to lose that 2/3 times over. Abysmal, and Capello needs to shoulder some blame as well for this. Pathetic preparation. Let's just enjoy the rest of the world cup now. and roll on the new season....
