This is an old, un-founded rumour.

It did sound like we are tracking players that are better than we currently have, rather than just average squad players.

I think it was also a pop at some players we've possibly spoken to, not just older players. There was a rumour we were after Adu - but then he apparently demanded massive wages.

Wasn't sure what to read into that if im honest - time will tell i guess.

He also mentions in the video - "we're lucky that Markus family will be continuing the investment, hopefully" - not sure how much he really knows of that though. I agree in parts, but i understand that the club were planning things for this game and with the shockingly low attendance, these cannot go ahead (mozaics possibly)

That would still be so poor. 55k got the chance to go to Wembley because of him and probably enjoyed one of their best saints supporting days. you'd think just over half of that attedance could muster up an appereance against leyton orient to say thanks.

There is a difference, this is a cardiff city that is pushing for the premiership. We're a club that are 2 divisions below the premiership. We will only be able to attract mid-championship players at the moment. If we were pushing for promotion in the championship, you never know.

not sure how true it is, but we apparently approached spurs with a view to take bale on loan for a month or 2 last year when he wasn't getting a look in there. but then assu-ekuto (sp) got injured, went to the africa cup of nations, and the rest is history.

does my head in, they still haven't paid their footballing debts, yet are allowed to go and loan someone like Craig Bellamy, who will not come free by any means.

i think it's fair to pause for a bit....his mali businesses have been paused. Our club and his businesses come second fiddle to their father and friend passing away, and so it should, i see nothing wrong with that.

It's not a case of premiership players moving to us, it's more about their moves then making championship players avaliable that could do a job for us. It's the trickle down effect that is caused by the 25man rule, or a few big money signings by other clubs (other than man city) I'm pretty sure tyson would have signed if Forest had managed to get Wittingham and Pratley, as he would have then been deemed surplus. - but he's ended up playing in their opening 2 games.

i think he doesn't want to drop down, i've always seen him as a bit of himself. But still would be a very good player for us pacey, tall, strong....can't ask for much more at this level

If the players aren't available, then there isn't much we can do. Fonte was avaliable in january because of Palace's situation. He would not have joined otherwise.
