The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

Chris wood would be a perfect addition, it would be great for his development as well and i expect WBA see that...he'll barley play for them next season. -
Have i missed something? Has Pardew gone?
-
+1. MK Dons has become a must win, not for the club - but for Pardew. Cortese has his finger on the trigger.
-
No one is wanting to bash the club mate, this is nothing to do with how much they've invested or how they're pushing the club forward. They are doing correct things in some areas and i think i speak for all fans when i say we appreciate them coming in when they did, but it doesn't mean that they're totally beyond criticism and can never be questioned. Surely you can see what a completely horrendous bit of PR this is? I don't think it'll be the last with Cortese at the helm either.
-
most of the decisions he's made have been petty, ridiculous decisions. Banning the echo because they released the images of staplewood slightly too early? come on ffs. But i'd love to know the reason as to why he's banned photographers. That's the main issue here - we're not being told why things like this are happening, and i think we have a right to know as we're going to see our club dragged through the gutter.
-
No one is trying to hound out the chairman though, we are just voicing our concerns at the increasing moronic decisions he is making that are affecting our image. He's also decided to rub the chairman of all 71 league clubs up the wrong way, should do us lots of favors when negotiating for players. The fans forum should be fun as it will give him a chance to explain why he has gone about things the way he has.

Our old friend Pele is now in this league, he's joined MK Dons http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/milton_keynes_dons/8897208.stm he'd have done a job for us in midfield tbh, as a squad player -
Good post CB-Fry, that's exactly how it is imo.

holy ****. -
That claim is pretty much thrown in the bin since we bid 500k for a L1 RB, which the club described as an offer too good to refuse. But we're being sensible with our money, and i also don't understand why people think it's just us doing sod all. look at all the other clubs in England, it's dead - the market is totally flat, nothing is happening. That makes it much much harder for clubs like us to recruit as there just isn't the movement to make players avaliable. People need to realize it's not just a case of - ''here's 1m for a player'' ''we want 2m'' ''ok, here's 2m''.
-
Still at his club because they want too much for him, we're not going to over-pay for players. That's the first step towards another administration.

Not the first person I've heard that from, but i suspect it was just someone that looked similar. There is no chance we'd get him at this level. -
I reckon we'll see a few changes, it will probably look something like this Bart Butterfield - Seaborne - Fonte - Dickson Oxo - Hammond - Wotton - Mills Barnard Connolly i'd expect to see Lallana come on as a sub again, wouldn't want to risk him from the start just yet. We'll probably get to see a couple of the other younger lads at some point.
-
Looking around on some other forums, the constant theme about our game is - ''WTF @ booing?'' ''lol @ the ****s booing'' i think that's all that needs to be said. quite embarrassing really.
-
Unfortunately the speed at which it's served hasn't improved, and by the time i got to the kiosk (just as they'd scored) they told me they'd run out of all food. good job.

Plymouth rag annoyed at SFC - non-SFC photographers refused entry to SMS

but honestly dd, this seems like a totally stupid move that will only create enemies in the long run. Is that what we want? -

This is the problem i have with Cortese. I'm sure what he does is with the right intentions, but he half goes about things the completely wrong way half the time. -

Seems like a pretty horrendous PR Gaff. -
ditto, i'm confused. Thought it was a very composed and energetic performance from the lad.
-
But he didn't get rich by just splashing his cash needlessly. Our transfer policy so far has been sensible and fair, we haven't really paid OTT for anyone. Morgan and Fonte are also quality players fyi.
-
Not really. Every single signing he made last year improved the team, the only question mark signing was Mellis. Dickson had a decent game, im a bit baffled by the comments from some that he was rubbish. He's proven with brentford that he's one of the best at this level. So i'm not sure what you're on about tbh. Bit silly getting the views from Charlton fans too, obviously they'll have nothing good to say about him - but their situation wasn't single handily down to pardew.
-
I think you were watching the wrong player. Everyone's entitled to their opinions though.
-
He was too slow off the mark, if he was just 1 yard sharper at that moment he'd have blocked the shot. Suprised really, he was a total steady-eady last year and you rarely got those sort of lapses from him.
-
Pretty sad tbh, but i expect it now. The OTT comments of people around me were ridiculous, one of the best ''Puncheon is not a league player''. please.
-
really? thought he was our brightest player in the first half. All of our good opportunities came through him with his crossing/direct running.
