davis keeping us in this.

we sound panicky and all over the place at the back. really worrying, sounds awful.
-
they've scored. been all hudds so far, could be a long afternoon.

Hudd's squad is quite strong too Huddersfield: Bennett, Peltier, Gudjonsson, P. Clarke, Kay, Pilkington, Johnson, Ridehalgh, Carey, Novak, Lee. Subs: Colgan, N. Clarke, McCombe, Arfield, Atkinson, Garner, Rhodes.

What a great performance, I could have watched us play like that all night - we were great. From the KO we played at a high tempo with quick once touch triangles and players running into clever bits of space, Tranmere didn't have a clue how to handle us. It's great to see Lambo score from open play, I just had the feeling that his 2 goals last week could kick start him - and it may have done. He was involved alot today but my MOTM goes to Gully - what a player he is. First real look i think anyone has really had, but he's way too good for this league on that showing. His movement and touch were of a higher division and if we can get him playing like that consistently i doubt many teams will be able to contain him - looks a class player. The movement he made to cross for the 2nd goal was brilliant. Chappers and Hammond in midfield seemed to work well, Hammond has stepped his game up massively, he's playing like a captain now - but it helps to have a midfielder in front of him (chappers) bursting forward and getting into the box. I thought he gave us a completley different dimension. Defensively we were untroubled, Kelvin could have sat back in an armchair for 90mins if he wanted. He didn't have a single save to make. Overall it was a pleasure to watch us today and if that's a sign of what's to come then it won't be long before we're top of this league.

You've already said that, and saying it twice doesn't make it any more valid.

he's away....with wales. This is a good signing, along with Antonio and hal-robson kanu this is one of readings promising players. Very quick, strong and powerful. If you want a comparison he's kind of like a young Patrick Agymang - i've seen him play once or twice.

At stages in the game yesterday i felt i saw glimpses of him from last season. He's definitely improving, slowly yes - but he's getting there. Look back at the clips from the first 30mins and you'll see most of our good play revolved around him, his hold up play and bringing others into play was very familiar - but he's just not getting the opportunities in front of goal at the moment. You don't drop him though because he's a 30 goal striker at this level and he will always come good. Just be patient, Adkins is doing some good stuff fitness wise. I bet you anything that those 2 penalties will take the weight of his shoulders, because he has been playing with that burden of not having scored for a few games.

Actually at this stage last season Norwich had the same points total as us (they had a shocking start last year), it was Leeds and possibly Huddersfield/Colchester that were up pushing for 2nd. But we are lucky there haven't been any teams consistently winning this year - possibly only Bournemouth and brighton being the most consistent pair, but they're not anything special.
-
i don't think it works like that. As he said, he's still under a contract with us (NDA) - both he and Nicola would have signed it, and if that's broken then his payout will be at risk.
-
I think it's clear to see that he didn't have much good to say about Nicola - hence why he decided not to comment when asked what he thought of him!
-
Hammond was immense today, really pleased that he's getting back to the level we all know he's capable of. That's the reason he was made captain..

Interesting move, the forum has become a bit stagnant recently - so a change like this should freshen things up. Wouldn't put myself forward as I'm not around often enough these days.
-
At least the forum is carrying on the theme from the club.
-
That's the final straw for me.

Once i managed to get to the game, then find a spare seat after someone had nicked mine, then it was quite a good afternoon.... I felt we controlled about 80% of the game, but we got a little shaky in the last 15mins as they came onto us a bit...but that's the only time i really felt worried, we were in control other than that. We didn't create as many clear cut chances as we can, but we still scored goals and i don't really care how we get them - as long as we win the game! I liked the way we kept the ball, we passed it around well and had them chasing shadows at some points. It was great to see Lallana start and i thought he was brilliant for about 60 or so mins, then obviously he tired as you'd expect. The same happened with Lambo, i thought he was back to his form of last season at times - his hold up play in and around the box and his ability to bring players into the game was coming to the fore again - and we will always create problems for the oppo when he plays like that. Bournemouth huffed and puffed but i was a little surprised by them, i thought they'd have been more of a threat but our defence was on top of its game. Fonte was back to his best and Seaborne continues to impress this season, i thought he was very assured. - and Harding also had his best game for us this season IMO. All in all a good win, we can probably play better than that but the league table is getting really tight now - and another win next weekend could paint a different picture on our chances this season.
-
That will be a very interesting show, but he won't be able to say anything - of that i'm sure. I'm sure the presenters will be keen to get on to him about his departure here...but an NDA is an NDA...
-
I wouldn't play Lallana yet, he's still not fit and will continue to feature for short 20min spells for the next few weeks. I think it'll be pretty much the same as recent weeks, with Fonte possibly coming in at the back...and Chaplow joining the bench.

Chaplow - signed a 2 and a half year deal - OFFICIAL

Excellent signing, i loved him when he was here a couple of years ago. His career has pretty much stagnated since moving to PNE, i don't think he's a bad player at all i think it's more that it wasn't the right club for him. By all accounts he loved his time here and played some of his best football for us, so hopefully he can carry that on. I'd assume this is initially for a month because there are question marks over his fitness, he's not really featured this season. But on his day, as he proved with Burnley, he's a top class championship CM. -
Bournemouth chairman "not welcome" directors box (sigh)
S-Clarke replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Their chairman is just a total motor mouth, as proven by this statement and his unprofessional comments on solent (when he thought the mics were off) I'm sure it's tactics to try and spice up this enormous south coast derby. -
I saw him against Colchester, and i thought Dicko was equally as good - and he'd be worth a start as much as Holmes.
-
I'm sure Holmes has developed into twice the player he actually is, just by sitting in the injury room.
