there's another thread on pompey online too. apparently during the meeting the fans had with their new ''owner'' (lol) they discussed the Horsea island development. There is a thread (serious) discussiong if they should incorporate a chelsea style village into the new stadium. they make me laugh, they really have no grip on reality at all. They will be in that shed for years to come, dropping down the leagues.

they'll be lucky to avoid any deductions for next season.

+1!!!! please...make that stop. Only one more game left for it i suppose. I believe that was a request from Nicola and co though! He's a decent bloke, but i hope Nicola is already planning on replacing Stuart dennis for next season.

tbh the problem is not having a consistent partner alongside Morgan, people that go to the matches (that isn't a dig at you btw) will recognise that Morgan is much more aggressive this year, it's an area of the game he's worked on and was one of the only players last night to be in the swindon players faces all game, nicking the ball off them. The problem last night was his partner, and has been the case for the other games we've lost and the midfield have gone missing. This isn't a slate-hammond-post or anything, but i just think he needs to either improve his consistency - or be replaced.

lol not got a pot to **** in springs to mind. if they cannot put together £3m, then they have no chance. At the end of the day, as people have been saying, any investor with credibility and real ''cash'' is more likely to wait for a club like Newcastle to come back on the market, or go in with a bid for a club like Cardiff/Crystal Palace - even those 2 clubs have more of an infrastructure than Pompey.
-
Morgan was probably our brightest player last night, the one player that looked alert and was actually trying to win the ball. If we did sell him for a cut-priced fee as you say, you watch us look on in envy as he becomes one of the best midfielders in the premier league. He can potentially become that good. The problem last night stemmed from Hammond, who IMO the jury is out on. I do like him, but recently he has had too many off-days and if i was Pard's i would seriously consider bringing in another midfielder to challenge him for his place. I lost count of the amount of passes he gave away last night, he really had a total shocker.

we are not in any threat of relegation.........we need 1, possibly 2 more wins to be 100% sure. We will get that with room to spare, i'm not even thinking of relegation. We're 14 points away from it. If we do amazingly actually go on a slump from now until the end of the season that ends in relegation, then Pardew will be sacked and will never get another job in football management.

injured, as were a number of their first choice players.
-
+1 danny wilsons tactics came out top tonight.
-
tbf we've only had our scouting system setup for 6 months, we'll reap the rewards after a while - and Papa wasn't a player scouted, he was a recommendation made to Cortese through his contacts.
-
agree, 2nd half lacked any spark or creativity from us. they did well to mark Adam and Punch out of the game, but it didn't help that lambo had a pretty rubbish all-round game today. When he plays well, we play well.
-
Well DM was right then, because Swindon executed their game plan brilliantly, they gave us no time on the ball and made sure the game was played down the middle and not out in the wide areas. Sure, we could have done alot better tonight - but swindon did a good job on us.
-
Bloody frustrating and cold night. Too many of our players had off nights, i thought Punch/Hammond/Lambert and Fonte were all poor tonight, and that's pretty much the spine of the team. Swindon came with a real game plan and they executed it brilliantly, a really top away performance from them. They harried our midfield but most importantly, condensed the game and closed us down - there was little if any space at all to operate when players like Punch or Lallana got onto the ball. They probably played as well as they have all season, but we didn't really push hard enough in the 2nd half. I think that thread about Jaidi and Fonte has jinxed them...! they were both really iffy tonight, esp. Jaidi who looked really really leggy. Oh well, season was over a while back anyway - but we need to learn from this result, this is the sort of game that promotion winning teams can grab a 1-1 or a 1-0 from - and we have to start doing that or we're not going anywhere.
-
sorry, 390 fans. my bad. much better.
-
i hope Norwich, Leeds and Millwall go up. (don't think we'll make the playoffs) coupled with P'boro, Plymouth and Scunny coming down. Significantly weaker division for next year.
-
how can you forget? it's their support, world class. Worth £30m on it's own. they have taken 320 fans to anfield tonight, what an effort.
-
So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?

there was a lot of talk before Pompey went into admin that another club was on the brink of folding completely, and people were speculating Hull. wouldn't surprise me, they've obviously spent well above their means to get to this position - and without any rich benefactor pumping in the cash, they were always going to crash and burn after a few years.
-
in 18 months we'll be above Hull in league places, so he'd be a bit silly if he did go there. plus they're skint.
-
from a skate on their MB's - ''Hi all, Been asked if I can clarify the situation regarding the exclusivity, the administrator and the £3 million bond so I've made a couple of phone calls in between my work for you. As I said, Andronikou has already met some of the other people working on this deal, and is meeting Rob Lloyd tonight at the Liverpool game. The £3 million bond has been paid and is in the system with the solicitors. Exclusivity starts from tomorrow morning. A lot of things are happening just now, so let's just calm it and let things happen, and see where we are in a couple of weeks once the exclusivity deal is done and we see where we are. Things are looking hopeful though.'' sounds more and more like a pinnacle-esque effort as the day goes on. The same poster has also had a ''meeting'' with the proposed buyers, as is very encouraged by what they have to offer. I'm sorry, but any buyer with any credibility at all does not go having meeting's with fans. I think we found that out - they may have the best interests at heart, but are very often skint. Markus and Nicola just did the deal, didn't involve fans and i also don't think they paid exclusivity. That's what happens when you have the money, you can get a deal done without having to go through weeks and weeks of tosh..

gutted. he'd have done a job for us in the summer, but now you have to fear for his career. very bad injury for someone of his age.
-
serious? anyway, it isn't going to happen. At the most I'd expect the current setup to be built up over the next 5 years. (industrial area knocked down/transport links etc) as i thought, he didn't actually really mention leaving st mary's - it was a question put to him and pushed by the interviewer.
-
nope, he was excellent - but i just accept that as the norm these days! his flick's and headers are always intelligent as well, and his setup play for the goal was very good..
-
not too sure i agree with the final GD!!! we're going to have to go some to get that, have we had another couple of 5-0's in our run in?
