He's a fantastic little player, no denying that at all - but i don't think he'd be as influential or involved without someone like Xavi anchoring the midfield. the man is by far the best CM in world football IMO, doesn't get many mentions but he is as important to barca as messi.

Their home form hasn't been too special latley, who knows - football is a funny game when you add pressure to it. i agree with you though, we've got too much to make up and not enough games. If we win every single game we possibly could make it, but the chances of that must be slim.

Alpine, you can be a pillock sometimes. apparently, according to your great knowledge we will be better placed without Lallana and Morgan anyway - but now there is actually interest in one of them, it gives you great ammunition to go on another negative route. At the end of the day, it's in the sun. which should be enough to close the thread anyway. and also the ''2m rated'' fee is a laugh, as i know the club value him of 5m and above and we are no longer in a position where we have to accept anything, if they don't offer what we want then they can sod off. and at the end of the day, if we did sell him it would be for a good fee and we know that the money would be reinvested back in quality, not like previous seasons. Not going up in the championship playoffs was critical, as we all knew we would not be able to strengthen or keep that team together. Not going up this season is not critical because it wasn't expected anyway.
