yep, and the funny thing being is that they are close to admin themselves.

''Solid mid table at Christmas with a bloody good run at the play offs ending in noble failure. Oh yes, we're going to finish ninth. And all the people berating everyone for having "unrealistic expectations" for "expecting" to finish in the top half will be precisely the same people who in April will berate anyone who says we can't make the play offs when we are bumbling around tenth/eleventh. Precisely the same people. Mark my words and it will happen. There is a little switcheroo that happens on the forum that turns the "realists" (we'll be lucky to finish in the bottom four get a reality check etc etc") into the loony optimists ("if we win the next three and so and so loses two in a row we'll be four points off the play offs etc etc") around about the end of March. Trust me, it happens every season.'' fair play cb-fry

interesting. so tbh we're ''exceeding'' many peoples expectations, but some still moan. ''FWIW i can see us comfortably mid-table, we've left it too late to mount any playoff push but i expect a strong end to the season where our team (which is better than 90% in this league) actually starts winning games on a regular basis. I expect us to then kick on next season and win the damn thing, the expectation should be nothing less.'' wise words once said.

tbf it's not a ''new manager'' really, we're lucky they haven't got a week to find a replacement! so not much will change in terms of preparation and ideas, as both manager and assistants bounce off eachother 99% of the time.
-
Geriant Williams, was manager of Colchester when they pushed for the playoffs in our playoff season.
-
there are some people that didn't like pardew from day 1 - so they'll never change their opinions. If we walked the league next year, they'd say it was in-spite of him im sure.
-
lol typical. i've lost count the amount of times that's happened to us. at least they don't have the chance to replace him though.
-
they have added to the squad fantastically. Johnathan Douglas, ex leeds, is arguably one of the best CM's in this league and the signing of the season on a free. I'd have him in our midfield any day of the week. Austin is the hottest prospect outside of the PL, the guy is prolific. Add to that - billy paynter, who's always scored goals and the pace they have down the flanks...they'll always cause problems.
-
Swindon are the best team we have played at St Mary's this season, so they are there by merit. they have done the double over Leeds, both 3-0 scorelines. They aren't ''crud''.

FT in all the games. Mk Dons 0 - 1 charlton Wycombe 1 - 2 Huddersfield yesterdays results were great, but todays are the worst we could have asked for tbh. i cannot see how we can do it now, it just isn't going to happen. nm - next season we won't even be worrying about scraping into the playoffs.
-
i think they'll finish 4th, with millwall and swindon above them. that's not the top 6, it's just the playoff places. sorry my post was poss a bit misleading.
-
wycombe have one back.. Wycome 1 - 2 Huddersfield.
-
i think the top 6 will now stay as they are, will be very difficult for anyone to sneak in now IMO. 3 Millwall 39 28 72 4 Leeds United 39 26 71 5 Charlton 39 20 71 6 Huddersfield 39 20 65 maybe with Swindon/Millwall swapping places.

2-0 to huddersfield
-
+1, totally agree with that. As you've said, it makes more sense to have one in the premiership - someone who is aware of the availability of ''bigger'' players, as it's much harder to locate the right sort of players for the right sort of money in the PL - so that's where a DoF will come in handy. It's worked really well at Stoke for the past 2 seasons.
-
what comments did he make?
-
Millwall have just gone behind at home as well against Brentford.
-
it's a great game to watch though, it could finish any score at this rate.

that third goal was a joke, clear handball. but tranmere are opening them up time and time again, this could be a rout.
-
now tranmere 3 - 0 Norwich
-
People need to realise that football isn't a defined logic. It doesn't work like this - Because we beat Norwich, we have to beat Tranmere, because we beat Mk Dons, we have to beat brighton...and so on. So because Norwich have lost like 1 game in 20 odd, they shouldn't loose 2-0 to tranmere tonight? oh. current score - Tranmere 2 - 0 Norwich. 14mins gone.
-
Exeter 2 - 0 colchester pretty much FT.
-
on another note, Aaron Martin has scored to put Sailsbury 1 up. Good for him to get out and have some games again, can imagine him being in and around the squad next season after we lose Perry and Thomas.
