according to you we have been ''very, very poor'' in the last few games, so of all people, i'd expect you to be applauding the changes.
-
Not really, Connolly is 50/50 and not fully fit and Waigo is still not 100% convincing from the start, away from home. They have it wrong for a change. Also it's worth remembering that james had his best game for us away at Wallsall, where we played a similar formation and james played on the right side.

i'm quite excited by holmes starting, we will a natural left sided wide player for once. quite worried about the 3 defensive changes though - i'd have only done 2 max. but hey - pard's is the manager, he knows what goes on more than any of us.
-
apparently he's had a great week, no niggles, no knocks and has really impressed pardew.

Southampton: Davis, Otsemobor, Fonte, Seaborne, Harding, James, Hammond, Schneiderlin, Holmes, Lallana, Lambert. Subs: Bialkowski, Thomas, Perry, Wotton, Antonio, N'Diaye, Connolly.

It'll be a 4-5-1 IMO. ----------Davis Jonny--Fonte--Perry--Harding -----------James -----Morgan-Hammond Antonio ------------- Lallana ---------Lambert Subs - Bart, Seaborne, Wotton, Connolly, Patto, Papa, Gobern

No offence flyer, but from a neutral's perspective, the way you're club is being run is nothing short of shambolic. You can say he resigned, which he did, but why? there is obviously something not quite right at the club to make him resign. He may not have been any cop - but surely it makes you worried that he was appointed in the first place? I see you're now saying Harford will be the new manager..only untill the summer though. So in the summer, how many managers will that make it in the last 2 years? At the moment, QPR sums up all that is wrong with football in this day and age im afraid.

He proved last season that he's a quality player, he was doncasters player of the season and was linked to a hole host of clubs (inc. premiership clubs/recently relegated clubs etc). I've seen him a play a few times and he is class, way too good for L1 - i just hope we pull it off.
-
I wouldn't expect all 3 new players to start, that could lead to disaster. Fonte is a def. starter, but i'd play Perry alongside him.
-
i can't see us paying big for a stiker tbh. we'll probably pay big for a midfielder, but possibly bring a striker in on a free as cover.

Jon Otsemobor signed on 6 month contract

The main thing that comes out of this for me is the word - Pace. recovery pace is crucial to any team, and we were heading towards having one of the slowest back 4's in history -
The area of the team which isn't quite clicking for me, is midfield. We're not quite seeing the best of lambert at the moment because this area isn't as balanced as it needs to be. So i'd hope we sign up a midfielder before the window.... preferably someone with a bit of energy and a consistent passer, someone who keeps it on the floor and gets the rest of the side playing football. I want us to get away from this horrible urge of playing hoofball. We've sorted out the CB position - i thought we were crying out for a ball playing CB and we have that now in fonte....now we just need that little bit more drive and balance through midfield. Another striker would be great - but it's no point unless the service through to them is good.

i guess we'll get the articles tommorow, it's the normal press-call before any saturday game.
-
it's a shame that we don't really know the full facts - but from an outside view it looks like a real shoddy peice of work by saints. by the way the seabourne transfer was rushed through, i could sense something was up.
-
got a hunch, from the wording on the OS, that james will become that ''midfeidler''
-
'' That should stop them in their tracks ! On The Ball City ! Never Mind...''

He's a handy player, an attacking wing back if anything - but is prone to odd lapses. will expect him to go straight in at RB, which james moving into midfield. -
reading on the OS, we might not get one. it states ''to allow james to move into his natrual midfield position...''
-
he's a RB....which is a start. still odd we haven't got stock..
-
spearing? or darby?
-
that would make you ITK!
-
i bet you it's no one we've been linked with..
-
Good spot At a guess, Stock but hey, it could be a defender from accrington for all we know!! the ITK's are a dying breed with this new lot:(
