  1. The bid will fall flat on it's arse anyway.
  2. Wow - sounds snazy. Thanks for that - May have to see if i can arrange another tour! It's nice to be a rich club though - and lol @ the pompey statement. ahhh, even though we're in L1, they're still trailing in our wake infrastructure wise.
  3. calm down david...this was a quote bumped up from July.
  4. He was signed by Cardiff in the summer i think. Anthony Gerrard possibly.
  5. Elliott Ward, with Trotman going back to PNE (i think pard's has already accepted he's going) A high profile striker, Simeon Jackson, Freddy Sears? (his loan at Palace ends in january afaik) I'd like us to bring in another defensive midfielder - already said it on another thread, but i'd like that Jimmy Abdou guy at Millwall
  6. They should get Wilde and co in there. We could save them some money by sending them all our unused "Lets go Wilde ®" memorabilia too. We're always looking to help out our fishy friends.
  7. totally - also i don't think there will be another club in this league (probably not even int he championship) that can go into January knowing they can buy...buy..buy - and don't even have to sell anyone!
  8. Nice to read that from Morgan. Last season you always had the impression he wasn't 100% happy with life here (and who could blame him...). But now he respects the manager and the coaches, they respect him and they understand how to get the best out of him. As pards has said, he's probably the most talented footballer in this league - he just needs to add other sides to his game to help him at this level (which he is doing tbf) If he does stay with us until we get to the prem then i reckon he could be fantastic for us. He would strive in a league that gives him a little more time and space.
  9. I only had a tour round a year or so ago, and the changing rooms weren't too shabby then - will be interesting to see what they've done to them.
  10. I think it's quite amusing though, that they've been taken over, not once - but twice, by the poorest arabs around.
  11. Just bloody relegate them, put them in admin and have done with it.
  12. Interesting. I expect us to make some high profile signings, players will look at us and see we're upwardly mobile. If we can move clear of the relegation places by January, i think we'll be an attractive project for anyone to get involved in.
  13. I think we'd all start to wonder! If we don't get up next year i'd be at a loss...
  14. It's nice to have something to aim for. Better than just going through each match with nothing riding on it. Just makes it a bit interesting if we're keeping touch with the top 6!
  15. I wouldn't expect Lambert to leave, he can achieve all his goals here tbh.
  16. the only difference between a mr lowe (who it think it is you're referring to ) is that he wasn't looking to sell up...he was stubborn and wanted to fix it himself.
  17. We did beat Yeovil, 2-0. 2 Lambo pens. Brighton was a blip, as shown by the way we've responded since.
  18. I felt as well as a low attendance, the atmosphere was slightly subdued too. But tbf i guess most people were completley frozen, i know i couldn't feel my feet at the end of the night!
  19. Do you really think that? honestly? he's had a few off colour games, but when he's on his game he's as good as any championship forward. To say he's not good enough for us is quite frankly laughable.
  20. If this is going to be possible, we cannot lose on Sat. Wallsall are on 30pts, right on the cusp of the playoffs - if we can beat them, we gain on them and possibly drag the pack back towards us. Colchester and Rovers are playing eachother, so points will be dropped there and huddersfield are away to leeds...so it's hard to imagine them winning. If we do our bit, by the end of saturday we should possibly be only 9 points away...
  21. Bart 6 - Hard to mark him, as he had pretty much nothing to do. He made a couple of good claims from corners and his distribution was decent. Murts - 7 - Solid, you can tell he's played right back all his career. He's not the quickest in his feet, but he's still got it up there. Knows exactly where to be. Jaidi 7 - bit sloppy and casual at times, but he is always a dominant presence in the middle. Esp. from set pieces. Perry 8 - was outstanding i thought. a great block after a Jaidi back header, and just reads the game fantastically well. Harding 7 - Solid -. Put in a couple of great crosses, but we didn't have anyone on the end of them Papa - 6 - frustrating. How many times can he be offside? does my head in. Sometimes looking at him, you wonder how the hell he's played in serie a! but to give him credit, he got an assist and his pace caused them problems all game. He's a good outlet to have, if somewhat frustrating. Morgan - 9 - Brilliant. A all round midfield performance, won the battle on his own. Sprayed the balls around, tackled and won headers in the middle. Was a dominant presence and my MOTM. Hammond 7 - solid, was a bit sloppy at times in possession but you feel safe with him in the side. good player. Lallana - 7 - wasn't outstanding but did some good things, probably should have scored at last 1 - but he's got all the ability in the world. James - 7 - He was good, used the ball well and put some good crosses in. He's not as exposed as he is when played at right back, and he's actually technically quite an accomplished little player. Lambo - 7 - good goal and won his fair share in the air - but still doesn't look 100% for me.....well he's not as impressive and dominant as he was against the MK Don's for e.g Subs - Antonio - 6 - ahhhhhhh, mental moments from him. a funny player...but will improve. He's a great sub to be able to bring on though, he just runs..and runs...and runs........and runs. Mellis - n/a only had 2 mins, didn't really touch the ball tbh Wotton - 6 - came on to shore it up, but didn't really see an amazing amount of the ball.
  22. that was world class
  23. That's football fans for you though, they never look at the bigger picture - just what is happening right now. They're bitter because he's stopped releasing money and has sold all their top earners - but that's because he hasn't been able to sell the club, which he has been trying to do for a few years.
  24. ..
  25. that was a mental moment...! he just didn't want to score did he, then just confused himself. Funny player - but gives us an outlet, pace is so important these days. I was reading a piece on him in the program and he sounds like he really wants to make it - he had a few bad moments at Tooting and Mitcham too, where they kicked him out for bad discipline - but he kept coming back and answering his critics. I hope we can sign him as with the right coaching he could be a good player imo.
