  1. I don't think you appoint anyone with the hope of keeping us up, we're done - no point in prolonging that hope. It needs to be a long-term appointment, or we wait until the summer if that's the best time to make the call. (but still, Jones gone and anyone else in charge for the remainder)
  2. Apart from that, he's Europe's best CB. Quite lucky he's being managed by Europe's best manager. They go hand in hand.
  3. I agree, I think this will almost certainly be in his remit which is why I'm potentially leaning to the 'caretaker' manager for the remainder of this season, and then let Wilcox have a big input in appointing the next in the Championship. I don't know what his credentials are in that side though, but as DoF (which he will be), he needs to have a call on that as it will need to align with everything he does.
  4. What, Xavi, the current manager of Top of the league Barcelona? I guess it was always his dream to manage Diallo and Bednarek.
  5. But...as soon as they did put us under pressure, our CB's looked all at sea. He was alright when the game was being played in front of him, but I wouldn't trust him back there when he had to defend for 90 mins.
  6. I'm counting every bloody game that moron has put on a tracksuit with our badge on it. Bloke is a stain on our club.
  7. He's made us worse when we were already record breakingly shit, so for that stat alone (and we all know how we love our stats) he's the outright winner. No contest. Jones.
  8. Liverpool - L Brighton - L Fulham - L Forest - L Everton - W Villa - L Brentford - L Wolves - L It's indefensible, it really is. That was 'our' run this season, right there. We've tossed at least 20 points into the bin. I'm absolutely certain we'd be in the 20's had we kept Ralph, still looking over our shoulder for sure, but in and around the Forests etc. Now we're more than a win away from getting off of the bottom. Totally cut adrift. How can anyone come in and make us worse from a position where we couldn't really be any worse? I'm lost for words as to the job he's 'tried' to do here.
  9. That's his job to fix that, being against 10 men should always be an advantage. To play that down is weak and noddy behaviour, screaming of a lower league side (no shit). I vividly remember the troubles both Man Utd and Leicester had against us once we went down to 10 men, it was absolutely to their determent. They could have got 10 had we kept 11 on the pitch.
  10. I've just worked out that we've lost 23 of our last 34 league games. Only 5 wins out of 34., which includes 2 solitary home wins Let that sink in for a second. This is a rot that needs a root and branch reset in the summer.
  11. Exactly, one of the first criteria's you even shortlist should be on coaching qualifications. I don't care if you and your coaching staff have gone 10 games with a terrific xG, but if you don't have coaching badges/qualifications then you don't even get an interview. That's how it plays out in the real world - you don't get shortlisted if you don't have the qualifications for the role, no matter what you've shown in previous positions. Just a bonkers trying to be clever appointment.
  12. Nothing felt right about it from the start, getting rid of Ralph needed to be followed by an upgrade and someone who would galvanise the group. Nathan Jones was never that man. Taking emotion out of it a second, if Jones was appointed as Leeds manager for e.g I'd laugh my head off at what an awful appointment it was. And it was.
  13. Because we're playing Bednarek, who is one of the most hopeless CB's with the ball at his feet in any top league.
  14. Yeah that just wound me up. Whoever instructed JWP to change that up needs shooting.
  15. Cohen and Sheeahan will be out of the door with Jones, neither have full coaching badges. In fact one of them has no coaching badges. Beggars belief really.
  16. The whole point is for someone for the rest of the season, just to calm it down a bit, then re-group in the close season and appoint someone permanent for the Championship - which I still believe will be seen as an incredibly attractive job for someone.
  17. He'll go, don't worry. The news won't come out that quickly though, either later this evening or Monday morning. Rasmus is going to have to raid Dragans piggy bank again for his payoff. I don't think Rasmus is going to be in Dragans good books right now, talk about setting fire to your money and throwing it into thin air!
  18. Long way to go, but imagine they win and our player, Jack Stephens, helps them go 5 points clear of us at the bottom of the league. What a mess this season has been on so many different fronts. Reminds me of the Fitz Hall to Palace charade.
  19. At this stage I'd have Paul Doswell in charge!
  20. I posted in the wrong thread, but I meant to say in here - they had a chance to keep some credit in the bank if they held their hands up last week and said enough is enough, but to prolong it out this week to another inevitable defeat is totally and utterly negligent and I've lost any trust I had.
  21. Nothing to do with Jones, he's a Rasmus signing. And he's not that bad, I think you've got a bit caught up in emotion on this one!
  22. Yeah, go with Selles. Take stock in the close season, should be quite an attractive Championship project for an ambitious manager to get stuck into. No point rushing into a long-term appointment now and getting it wrong.
  23. Sports Republic had an opportunity, Rasmus in particular, to come out of this charade with a little bit of credit in the bank. By sticking with him for the Wolves game, and the inventible happening, he has managed to put himself in a very difficult position totally of his own making.
  24. This was the theme in Belgium - often subbed in and around the 60th min, so obviously he was going to slog quicker in this league. I think he brings us what we were lacking in terms of a presence, but there is certainly no long-term view about it in terms of any pattern of play.
