'Good around the dressing room' - a bit like Stephens I guess. That 'good lad' myth.
-
Hollow words. I think he's shit personally, the fact he's been our best defender says nothing - as we're 21st.
-
It'll be someone like Ekert, or Ramsay from USA. No change from what's gone before. It would be foolish to expect anything different.
-
It's exactly what will happen, which is why I'm not jumping in the streets celebrating. There's nothing to celeberate. We've just had to cough up another enormous amount of money to another sacked manager, and we all know how this plays out next. There's nothing to be excited about.
-
That's the truest statement the club have ever put on the OS.
-
Yeah he's gone, but nothing will change. We'll now lurch into the next disaster, it won't be a manager anyone 'wants' - just saying.
-
Yeah you've got it there. Don't ignore Carl Martin as well, sticks around under every manager like some kind of bad smell.
-
Saint_Loyal. I thin Parsons sent him a duff Dyson in the past.

This is Spurs though, their fans have a bizarre sense of entitlement. They think they should be challenging for the league. They are Top 6 on a good season, mid-table in a normal season. They need to sort their expectations out because they're really not as 'big' or good as they think they are.

I'm not saying the players are bad, it's just they're so ill-suited and don't mesh. Those 3 CM's are very similar in style. That won't ever work. You need alternatives and some power/physicality/experience in there, none of those give us that. We should have dumped Downes in the summer and that was one of the biggest mistakes, as we're now lumbered with his toxicity. We basically went into the season as I feared - putting our eggs in the Ross Stewart basket, someone who is always injured and it won't ever change. He was another one we should have released in the summer and cut ties with. I'd have saved the money we spent on Quarshie, Downs and Fellows and poured it into a proven number 9. That's almost £20m right there. We didn't need Quarshie as we had Edwards, THB, Wood, Stephens. We didn't need Fellows as we retained Edozie and couldn't shift him. We didn't need Downs as he can't play football.

I think they've made a mess of recruitment myself and have left us with one of the worst squads we've ever had. The rewarding of Stephens was a sign of things to come. It's bloated and full of mis-fitting players, but the critical areas such as CM, 9 and GK have remained unresolved. They've not done OK at all, they've failed us once again on building a team capable of being competitive.

We're in big, big trouble then as we're not getting promoted before the parachute payments run out.
-
It's what usually happens after bad news - try and silence it as much as possible and push it away from the conscious, they don't want to give their social media a platform for loads of negative posts. So they go quiet, in the hope we calm down, and then try again on Wednesday.

He's not absorbed of blame anymore. I don't care if he's pumped money into the club, he's oversaw the absolute imbeciles who continue to piss it up the wall. He took control the last year, and we're now worse. We haven't been this low in the Championship since those 07-09 seasons.
-
They have absolutely ruined this club, and when you think they can't go a level worse, they actually manage to do it. No one who is part of SR is absorbed of any blame. They have destroyed my club in front of our very eyes to a point that's almost not recoverable. We don't hear much about the finances, but if they've mismanaged the club this badly I dread to think about the state of the finances. They're probably nowhere near as healthy as people proclaim.

This season no longer reminds me of 05-06, it's very, very similar to 07-08. We look doomed. No one wants to be out there. The squad isn't united, they're a load of individuals thrown together in a manner that simply isn't working. The vibe I get is that there are huge divisions in the squad. The squad planning in the summer has been a disgrace and it's left us with probably one of the worst squads we've ever had, certainly since that 07-09 period. I'm not talking about financially/reputation, but more so the mix, size and type of player we have available. It's an absolute bloated mess and this isn't fixed overnight, it will take years and years. We are not finishing top half this year, this season is a bottom half Champ battle. This is exactly the area you live in when the Championship 'isn't fun', as many proclaimed when we were getting relegated. I saw this sort of season coming a mile off. Clubs don't recover from 12 point seasons for a long time and sometimes they never do. This is beyond the manager at this point, but he'll go and we'll get another one in who will fall by the wayside too. L1 at this stage is absolutely inevitable, it's just a case of when. We won't have Markus coming over the hill to save us this time either. It's a long and probably impassable road back, and it's all on SR.

Who gives a shit? I've got some paint to watch dry.
-
We're using him terribly, absolutely.
-
So the weeks go on and I still have no idea if he can play football. I honestly couldn't tell you. Chances are, no he can't, but if anything sums up our current plight it's him.
-
If we hadn't have spent the entire summer flapping around an Armanian player we were never going to get, we may not have had to do a last-min panic buy on Azaz who is so at odds with the rest of the squad.
-
You've always come across as a bit of WUM Saint_Charlie, this is probably one of your worst efforts.
-
To be fair, they were ditched when we were an Established PL side under Ralph, they wanted to leave for game time and that was that. Should we have loaned them out? Maybe, yes - but it just goes to show how poor to non-existent our squad planning has been in the last 6-7 years.
-
I don't think any player has the right to pick apart fan reaction after the last 365 days we've had to endure. I tell you what, they're lucky they've got away with so much. Nathan Wood has been one of our better defenders this year, not saying much mind, but he is as thick as pig shit and it's really demoralising that he's the level of player we've slipped to. It's no surprise we are where we are. He was part of our PL recruitment too. Let that sink in.

Of course he's not ill now, but he's got a knock to the knee. Honestly can we just sack this guy off.

I thought we were changing that in the summer with Downs and Quarshie, some even Quarshie whilst tall is quite weak in one-on-one duals. But after adding some height with those first two, we didn't really continue in the same vein which was odd. I thought we were hitting the spine of the team with some physical presence.
