Talented young CB. They've been after him all summer haven't they? I'm sure I read they'd pulled out of it in July.
-
Interesting that it made a note of a 'potential' relationship brewing with Club Brugge?

So in effect, we're going to get money from Liverpool in this window whatever happens. They can't help themselves. Who needs a sugar daddy when you have Liverpool.

I've always like Kondogbia to be honest. Thought he looked really good for Valencia against Real at the weekend. Powerhouse of a midfielder.
-
....

I think he's been given lots of chances. The one who I'd love to see given a real chance is Hojbjerg.
-
To be fair, I wouldn't have ever classed Jordy as a holding midfielder. Him, Pierre and JWP - to me - are very much the same type of player. There's no weakening of the squad by letting clasie go, in my opinion.

Yeah, pretty sure the big money move was to Porto. Didn't settle there, so stoke grabbed him. Didn't settle there and now he's at toulouse.
-
Missed that post, but yeah, that's an incredibly strange post.

He was known as the dutch 'Xavi', not an attacking midfielder as such, more of a CM who can sit and dictate the tempo. Which he probably did in Holland. But he lacked the presence in this league and as Chez put earlier, games just passed the lad by at this level.

That update from Kevin Palmer was truly click bait. Just his views on it, no actual news. I don't want to tempt fate here, but I'd expect to start hearing some genuine bits of info this evening if this is going to happen.

Mane won us the penalty against Arsenal on his debut, he was pretty good that day. As with all new players coming into English football, he suffered ups and downs - some quite glaring downs, but he was always the sort of player who could produce the unexpected. There was a poster on here in the December who claimed he was the worst player since Ali Dia. He seemingly wasn't alone in that view either. Surprisingly, once Mane then went on to score the quickest ever hat trick he went silent and hasn't been seen since. Mane was never gash, just had the typical ups and downs of form players of that type will have. He is still hugely missed.

Probably not many takers for a full transfer to be honest. It's probably more of a decision for Jordy, he's been told he won't play much, so will likely explore any opportunity which will allow him game time.

Nice click-bait tweet from Kevin Palmer...

12:29 We referenced Southampton a moment ago, and what they need. Well, media in Belgium are reporting that midfielder Jordy Clasie is about to join Club Brugge on loan. More on that when we get it.

I think Inter were focusing on Balde at Lazio, but he now seems to be heading to Monaco. So makes sense that they're back in, similar sort of player, although nowhere near as proven.
-
He happily signed a 6 year contract a year ago. He will just have to suck it up.

Leicester are going to have a mini meltdown of their own if they sell Drinkwater, Mahrez, Vardy and swap Gray for townsend....

I personally can't see a scenario where we can let him go now, with less than 48 hours. The fee becomes irrelevant, as it's more to do with the principal. If we stick to our guns and he's still here then we have taken the lead on the situation. If we let him go with 48 hours left, and unbelievably to Liverpool, then we just come across as weak and it makes our report of Liverpool tapping him up look like nothing more than a petty whine. Would be hard for anyone to take us seriously. To me, there is no benefit to letting him go now. As I said, the fee is irrelevant. We're not going to reinvest any of that in 48 hours. I'm inclined to believe Jono though, as I 'think' I know who he is - but let's wait and see.

Drinkwater hands in transfer request. Going to be a very interesting couple of days. So many 'big' issues unresolved for so many clubs all over Europe. Sanchez, Mahrez, Mbape, Lemar, Coutinho, Virgil, Drinkwater, Evans......+ more i can't think of right now. This is right up sky's street.
-
I reckon that will still get done. £50m is an insane offer when the player has 12 months left on his contract.
-
Yep
-
Fund all what? Jay for 15, Burke for around 15. (they are up to fee's) Gibbs will be 4m ish, Zhang for £5m (no idea who he is tbf) They've not spent any more than us. £15m on Hoedt, £18m on Lemina, £6m on Jan Bednarek

To be fair, I don't think anyone has ever gone to the detail they have. In terms of finding out the plane, what the interior looks like, and what sort of car picks him up. Slightly sad, given that fact that obviously no one else in the entire world will ever fly on that plane.

I might phone up talk sport and give my opinion on the Coutinho situation.
