PL have apparently come out and said that this apology is the end of the matter as far as they're concerned.

If you have a look at the link above, it seems as if this has played out exactly as the Demspey 'move' did. We agreed to withdraw our complaint to PL as long as they ended interest and put a grovelling apology on their official channels. That's my take on it anyway.

That's quite funny really. A blatant admission of their guilt for a start. They probably admitted guilt to try and avoid further punishment and sanctions. There is no way he's going to end up there now.

Personally I don't think there is any scenario where he can stay now, I'm sure the club know that. They must be confident in getting one of their targets I'd say.

If we're honest that's probably how it will be sold to them as well. Both tipped for the top less than a year ago, coming to England and doing well with us is a great chance to showcase themselves for the Arsenal or other jobs in the PL. But Puel seemed a nice chap, he just tried to shoehorn his way rather than adapting to the players we already had.
