  1. TBF I don't remember Clyne doing too much wrong. Lallana and Lovren I'll give you though, they both had PR disasters - one worse than the other..
  2. Blimey, Lens is a blast from the past. When were we linked with him? was it our first pre-season back in the PL...or the January window after adkins was sacked? Not a bad signing for Sunderland if the pull it off. They might as well rename this league the dutch league, given how many dutch players/managers are part of it!
  3. Not them in this instance.
  4. That's how you leave a football club. No need for cringy pullouts in the echo, that twitter post is 100x better from Morgan. I'll miss him so much.
  5. He signed a new contract las summer, pretty sure it was a 3 year one.
  6. He's already decided to join us, calm down everyone.
  7. Mane will easily command £25-30m in the market if he kicks on next season. Attacking players with pace/goal scorrers are always a premium. He could even end up becoming our highest recieved fee. Wanyama will easily bring in more than £20m if we sell him. If Jay kicks on, so will he. But our club is all about growing players, there are players who you may not think are worth much, but progress a hell of a lot over the next few years. It's also harsh to say we're a selling club. If one of the biggest clubs around comes for any of our players, they will go. We're not activley looking to sell anyone.
  8. I agree with what people are saying above. I don't think we need to look for a like for like replacement, I think we're better off trying to evolve his position and add a new element to our midfield. Having Morgan and Wanyama in midfield was droolworthy in a defensive sense, the sheild they put up was as good as any in European football. However, whilst this depature may well hit us defensivley, it allows us to evolve the side to incorporate a more forward thinking midfield unit, with Victor left as the sheild.
  9. Seems to be £24m guaranteed, with it rising to £27/28m on several clauses.
  10. Young, international pedigree, coaching potential, massive sell-on potential. Ticks all our boxes!
  11. Man Utd fans taking the **** out of City, quite funny really. Schweinsteiger 14.4m, Morgan Schneiderlin £24m, Damian £13m. Total - 51m Rahem Sterling = £49m
  12. I guess if you mean signings made that season, then yeah - Morgan was the only remaining.
  13. Good fee. Can't moan about that, we got what we wanted.
  14. I guess you could include Davis in that era.

  16. Even though we've all known this will happen, it still kind of hits you where it hurts. I remember watching him on his debut against WHU in that pre-season friendly, full of optimism and hope with a young team and 2 dutch guys. He didn't look out of place what so ever in that game, but it's just a shame that the club as a whole didn't really create a decent environment for him that season. Pardew has to take some credit as well, he sat him down and told him what's best for him, he could have gone that pre-season. Thankfully he didn't, and we got to see the growth and development of one of the best central midfield players to ever don the red and white stripes. Kind of fitting that I was there for his final game too, and when he walked off injured, I think most of us knew that was that. Seems quite apt. for him to leaving 2 Dutchman behind, after being signed by 2 Dutchman 7 years ago. I hold no grudge and I have no bitterness what so ever. He is joining one of the biggest, if not the biggest clubs in world football and getting a massive pay rise to boot. He deserves it. Au revoir Morgan - thanks for the memories.
  17. Looks like we already have.
  18. Lol @ Spurs fans saying ''we can move on now'' You were never in the race you idiots.
  19. They'll still get Ramos I reckon, they seemingly have the pull to get anyone from anywhere.
  20. BBC Sport ‏@BBCSport 1m1 minute ago Morgan Schneiderlin is currently having a medical at Manchester United. More to follow. #mufc
  21. It clearly isn't, let's not start the sour grapes. Man Utd aren't going to part with £25m for a bench player. He'll start in their midfield.
  22. Totally agree. He's given us everything, he deserves this move. What a team they will have, complete Galactio's. What a time for Morgan to move to them! Couldn't be more pleased for him tbh.
  23. Looks like we've had a bit of a domino effect today. Morgan is done and dusted, and I suspect this is as well.
