Okaka was a huge flop at Fulham, spent about 6 months on loan a few seasons back. Had a big reputation as a youngster, but never seemed to go anywhere. Very tall and powerful though, so maybe seen as a Pelle alternative.

It was an irrelevant argument if we're honest. Big teams buy big players, offer big money, play in big competitions. We're not a big team and we never will be. Every transfer is a gamble really, if the club feel they can outlay £15m on him, then that's their call. It won't all be up front though, will probably be heavily performance based if it does happen. I just feel that buying Austin is like buying guaranteed goals, more so than other gambles we've signed in the last few years. If the club feel he's worth £15m and it's not going to put us in the ****, then fair enough.
